After more back and forth arguing Alistair left with the promise he'd be here any hour I needed him. He gave me a tight hug in the driveway before leaving. I didn't want him to go. Daniel stood behind me guarding my back, slowly placed a hand on my shoulder. "Are you okay?" I shook my head, I was making a huge mistake. Gently he squeezed my shoulder as I leaned into his chest, he then wrapped that arm round my waist. "Let's go inside and you can sleep," he whispered because Bea and Eugene were just behind us at the door.
"I can't go to sleep," I mumbled.
"Why?" He asked turning me gently round to face him.
"I need to speak to Harry before I sleep," I wasn't going to tell him that the idea of trying to sleep in Harry and I's bed was frightening me. Daniel nodded knowing he wasn't going to discourage me from this.
"Come on you two let's order pizza," Bea shouted going inside waving the pack house phone. Eugene chuckled at her sister following her inside.
Daniel smiled softly cupping my face in one hand "what would you like?" I felt my cheeks flush as he held me like this, this intimate caring soft, the right way.
"Um, pepperoni" I mumbled as he slipped a hand into mine and led me back inside. Bea was already on the phone to the pizza place. She held up a piece of paper that said 'pepperoni?' Which we both nodded so she ordered loudly as I sat down in the armchair. Daniel leaned on the doorway watching me. That was when we all heard a car screech into the drive way. It was Harry, my heart began to beat hard in my chest and a chill tingled up my spine. I stood up abruptly "can you tell him I'm in the study." Almost at a sprint I bolted past all of them brushing past Daniel. He caught my arm gently and whispered "scream if he does anything to you." I nodded and he let go as I disappeared behind the study door. Daniel and I kissing kept going round and round in my head.
The door creaked open, Harry stood in the doorway for a moment before stepping inside and closing the door behind himself. "Hello my love."
