Eventually we arrived at the pack house outside of Birmingham as I finished the huge bag of flaming hot Doritos. It was a good thing I had a high metabolism due to being a werewolf otherwise I'd probably weigh tons. The wolves here had been established long before the wolf war when the council of wolves had been disbanded. Their Alpha was in his forties and was called Graham. I met Graham at the last annual wolf festival, a huge gathering of packs across the world. He was at the gates to the large house waiting as we pulled inside the grounds past him. Looking back I watched as he closed the gates with an almighty clang.
Climbing out and down from the car I walked towards the alpha. He greeted me with a firm handshake "glad you both could arrive so swiftly. Wish we were seeing one another in better circumstances but I would never complain that they sent you."
"It's good to see you too Graham, how is everyone holding up?" I asked as Alistair came and joined us.
Graham shuffled a little before answering "to be honest the younger ones are shaken up and we have two expectant mothers including my own daughter who is not happy in the slightest." He shuddered "don't know if you remember her."
"Dad!" A heavily pregnant Anna came waddling out of the pack house, "is that the agents?" I turned to see her as she reached us.
"Anna go back inside, I told you it's not safe out here especially when you're about to burst. Where's Ben?" Graham tried to guide her back inside but Anna, who I knew to be as stubborn as her father stayed put.
"Dad I'm fine, honestly and Ben is playing with the little ones. Seeing as they could do with the distraction," she informed him.
I butted in "I'm afraid your father is very right. Until we have a solid idea who was behind this."
She smiled "well seeing as you said it I'll guess I'll go back inside." She gave her dad a reassuring gaze before heading back into their house.
"So could you show us the damage, I understand you have security footage of the incident?" I asked. Graham nodded taking us round the left of the house where we were soon met with a pile of rubble. As I looked towards the house I saw spray painted a cartoonish wolf with its head chopped off and to its left a vampire with its head off and to the right a stick figure with its wings separated. "It's them isn't it?" I practically whispered to Alistair. Turning back round to the rubble I could see the wall and metal fencing that sat on top was blown apart.
"I'll leave you both to it and I'll grab the tapes for you," Graham sighed and left us heading round to the back of the house.
Taking out my phone I stepped back to take a photo of the graffiti. Alistair was looking over the damage to the wall, "I know I said you are in charge but I don't think we should do any solo during this investigation."
"I agree, these people mean business. This is a warning, we have to find them as soon as we can" I couldn't help but agree with him on this point. "Let's get those tapes then head for the fairy boarding house, then we can head to the nest."
