Stood outside the pack house I saw the mustang's doors wide open. I couldn't see Daniel so assumed he was inside. Carefully, knowing how much the car meant to him I shut the doors and headed inside. Unusually I looked out to the street noticing that none of the street lights were on. It was very strange at this time of night. I shook my head smiling as I walked inside and shut the front door. Taking my shoes off I padded into the kitchen, then called out "Daniel where's your keys so I can lock the car?!" It was met with silence. Frowning I continued to the back doors which were wide open. I closed them too feeling a draft.
After a few more moments I figure he was upstairs busy doing something so went up to investigate. I knocked gently then pushed the door to his bedroom open slowly to find no one. This was getting really strange. That was when I heard footsteps from the alpha bedroom. "He must be up there," I said to myself.
Now heading up there I spoke loudly as I walked up the flight of stairs leading to the alpha room. "You know I was starting to think I was going mad, what are you hiding up.....?" As I stepped inside the room I instantly realised that the footsteps hadn't belonged to Daniel.
The door slammed behind me as the figure turned round with a chuckle, "hello Cubby" he said mockingly.
"H-how...?" I stammered.
"You can't escape your destiny," he stepped forward then round me taking hold of my upper arms with a tight squeeze. "I'll finish what my father started and show the world the infestation you and the rest of those vile creatures are a part of." He leaned over my shoulder close to my ear making me look up ahead of me.
My eyes locked onto Alistair, "what...how...?" Blood began to seep through his shirt as Alex cackled in my ear.
I sat up abruptly in a freezing cold sweat, panting with tears staining my cheeks. Daniel had hold of my hand and was up on his knees beside me on the bed. I grabbed his shirt and buried my head into his chest crying silently as he stroked my hair whispering, "it was just a bad dream."
