I pulled up in front of his apartment and took a deep breath. On the ride over the courage I'd had was slowly melting away. I took the keys out of the ignition and got out of the car. Harry was already at the door waiting for me.
Reaching him he wrapped me in his arms. "You ok? You sounded weird on the phone." I shrugged and he linked his arm in mine leading me inside.
Once the door was shut he took me into his living room. He had lay out the pizza on huge plates with candles on the table despite the fact a lot of day light was shining through. A smile lit up my face and Harry was quick to point it out. "I love it when you smile," he gently brushed my cheek making me blush.
We sat on his grey blue sofa. I took a deep breath and said "we need to talk." He gave me a curious look "more I need to talk."
"What's wrong?"
"I um I'm," I let out a sigh. This was hard "I love you and I want to be with you but I'm not sure about being the pack's Luna. I have so much at the moment that I don't think I'd be able to be a good Luna." I waited for his response.
Harry smiled and kissed my cheek, "I love you and I promised I'd never force you to do anything you're not comfortable doing. The pack would understand they already think you're an amazing Luna."
"Really?"
"Yes," he kissed me again slipping his arm round my waist.
"I want you to mark me," we hadn't done it and I wanted it so bad. He pulled back pulling out a bottle of red wine.
"Not today. When I mark you everything must be perfect." His voice was all possessive.
"But I want it," I couldn't help the moan that escaped my lips.
"I know, but I promise when I do it will be the single most amazing time of your life." I leaned into him catching his lips in mine. He pulled me on to his lap and wrapped me protectively in his arms. I tucked my head into his shoulder and he gently squeezed me. "You mean everything to me."
I loved this feeling of closeness. Sat in his arms, blissfully forgetting all that work I had back at base. He sighed heavily and gently squeezed me. We jumped when his phone began to ring. He moaned before kissing my head and picking it up.
"Daniel this better be important," he groaned impatiently. "What!? Make sure everyone is in the house I'll be there as soon as I can." A another minute of silence from Harry and then "right ok. I'm coming." He hung up and looked at me, worry laced in his eyes. "We have to get to the pack house."
"What's going on?" We stood up and he began rushing around. He grabbed my coat and his own and helped me into mine. Then he grabbed his keys. "Harry?" He still didn't answer. "Harry!?" I yelled at him. He came over and placed his hands on my hips.
"I'm sorry, a threat was sent to the pack house. Your name was in it." I wasn't a stranger to death threats but none had ever come to the pack. "Daniel is calling the rest of the pack home."
"Let's go, I'll drive."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, come on we have a pack to keep calm."
"Really?" He looked at me puzzled then smiled kissing me again. "Come on."
We almost ran out of the apartment and both slipped into the Ferrari. I shoved the keys in the ignition and drove to the pack house.
