Chapter 79

Nuzzling into Daniel's side I let out a low purr. Daniel chuckled rolling so he straddled over my much smaller body. "You are glowing," he growled lowly nuzzling a slow warm kiss into the crook of my neck. Closing my eyes I mumbled not really saying any words as he tucked an arm under my upper back. "I could never loose interest in...." He stopped suddenly gently letting me lay back on the bed. His hand trailed down my hip then over my belly.
I propped myself up with my elbows "is something...?" I didn't manage to get the whole question out when he took one of my hands and placed it on my belly.
"Do you feel that, like a little warm glow?" His voice was husky. I concentrated on my belly, feeling the warmth he was talking about I slowly nodded. "I'd heard it can be this fast." I was too in shock to speak as his excitement grew. He was now standing by the bed looking around with a huge grin. Sitting up completely I stared at the bedroom door blankly moving my mouth without any words coming out. Walking to the end of the bed he said "we can put a cot here when they're first born, then the empty room under us can..."
"Stop it!" I yelled covering my ears with my hands.
His face dropped and he frowned at me as I whimpered "how can you be so happy when they could still take me and...and...." I burst into tears shaking. "I'm sorry" I mumbled.
Quickly he was back in the bed holding me tightly "no I'm sorry, I got too excited. I just," he kept me at arms length and smiled softly. "I love you so much that the mere idea of a baby just makes me so happy. I do also feel the fear, I know we aren't safe but this" resting a hand on my belly "is exactly what can give us all a boost." Leaning into me he kissed my forehead "I'm gonna go get some things for you and baby. I promise I won't come back with a crib." I watched as he got dressed, kissed my head and left.
