You know how people fall in love? And then that person becomes your every thought of everyday?

Yeah. That's your story.

                              * * *

"Buck! Are you serious right now?!" You laughed nudging him in his arm.

"I'm serious, doll! I swear I didn't do it." He chuckled.

"But it sounds like you! I mean who else would tell Steve that he has a date and she's born in the 40's?" You questioned stuffing your hands in your pockets.

"I can't believe he bought that shit." He smiled, "But it wasn't me."

You gave him a "Sure" look and continued to walk the Carnival. You and Bucky were the first of many to go to this Carnival, in fact the whole Tower went. You guys split up and naturally, Bucky took you with him. You guys have been best friends since he first got to the Tower, you both shared laughs and smiles, secrets and stories, but you never shared your feelings. You loved him for a year now, but you didn't know he loved you too. You both didn't show it in fear of rejection, so to hide those feelings- Bucky did something you thought he'd never do. He was always saying how horrible he was and you'd have to cheer him up by telling him the exact opposite. It wasn't just to make him happy, it was facts. True and undeniable facts. You two made your way to the cotton candy stand, you got a blue one and so did Bucky. You guys had the same taste in almost everything, movies, candy, fast food, even in how you dress. He says dark colors suit the both of you best. As you ate your cotton candy, a girl came up to you both. Buckys face brightened up and you creased your eyebrows.

"Bucky bear! I didn't know you'd be here!" She squealed hugging him.

He wrapped his arms around her. Your heart skipped a couple beats watching the mess unfold before you.

"Hey, baby. What are you doing here?" He cooed.

Your eyes widened. Your heart definitely stopped at this point. Was this some sick joke? Does he not remember you guy's number one rule of your friendship?

"I was forced here by my brother. He said he wanted to come here to meet with someone. I got bored and started walking around and I found you!" She giggled, "I missed you!"

You dropped your cotton candy.

"I did too." He smiled, "This is my best friend, Y/n. Y/n, this is...my girlfriend, Stacy."

"H-hi. I- uhm...I'm Y/n." You stuttered.

"Bit of a quiet one huh?" She joked, "Nice to meet you. Come on bear, let's go to a game!"

"Uhm, is it okay if I leave?" Bucky asked you, holding her back.

Your face went stright, "Yeah. It's fine."

She tugged Bucky twords her and took off running. Before they were out of sight, she gave you a glare. One that a popular high-school girl would make, hell, she just might be in high-school. Her blonde hair, blue eyes, and skinny figure, apparently she was everything he needed. Or so it seemed. Tears pricked your eyes as you headed back home, you didn't want to be out there anymore. To watch them everytime they'd pass by.
