"What is he doing here?!" Fury shouted walking twords you and the new guy you found.

You stayed silent.

"Agent L/n, I asked a question. I expect you to answer it." Fury spat, now only meters from you.

The new guy you found was walking the street. His baseball cap the way it is now, shielding his eyes from the world. His jeans and jacket giving him a "Stay away I'm hiding vibe". But, when you found him he was leaning on a wall watching the world go by. You two talked and soon enough, you brought him with you to the Tower. He somewhat trusted you, more than anyone else right now. You want to protect him, give him a home, no matter how many lectures or tricky looks you'd get. Bucky- is what he told you- stepped behind you a bit. As if he was hiding from the man with the eyepatch, his face unmoved but you could feel the pain just by the silence.

"What's his name?" He questioned stepping closer, "I want an answer out of you or else he's gone."

"Back off." You answered just as firm as Fury, "He's with me."

"Hard to believe that when he looks suspicious."

You took in a deep breath, you heard Buckys little whimper, only audible to you. You moved your arm behind you grasping his hand in yours, you Gabe it a light squeeze and he gave one back, just as effective. You rubbed your thumb over his knuckles before getting back to the feud with Fury.

He sighed, "I'll give it a chance, Y/n. I'd this dosen't work-"

"He still stays." You cut him off, "On my terms. He's not yours and he's not mine. But he's my responsibility. So. Back. Off."

He gritted his teeth in frustration before walking out the door and into the helicopter. He knew this was a terrible idea, but he also trusted you. Once you set your heart and soul on something, you don't let it go until it's finished or fixed. You'd never let it go, at least not until someone tells you too and they make a very good argument about it. But then again, your gut usually knows more than your brain and it'd usually right. Why should this time be any different?

"Does....does he hate me?" Bucky whispered watching him leave.

You sighed turning around twords him, your thumb still running circles over his knuckles. You pulled his baseball cap down a little farther earning a slight smile from him, you intertwined your fingers with his and let a soft smile spread on your features.

"I don't know, he's confusing sometimes." You answered honestly, "Come on, you'll sleep in my room."

"C-can I sleep on the floor...?" He asked, his voice was distant.

You smiled, "You can sleep wherever you feel comfortable. Just...be you. Don't let anyone make you do anything your not comfortable with including me- definitely me."

He just nodded and you smiled tugging him towrds your room. You got him set up and then headed to the store, stopping in mid opening your door, you turned to look at him. He stood behind you, his blue eyes reading your face. You wouldn't admit it out loud, but he's beautiful. The brunette hair, icy blue eyes, how he was built, his Jaw line, the way he walked, basically everything about him made you swoon in many different ways. Getting back to reality, you looked back at him and let out a breath you didn't know you were holding in.
