|In this oneshot you have a power where you can see into the future and talk to the future dead. Does that make sense?|
{Your POV}
I watched him leave the room. Swiftly turning on his heel and down the hallway, out of sight. How come no one else saw this? Was it just me? Am I going crazy or does no one care?
"Y/n." Tony called, waving his hand from side to side, "You alive in there?"
I still didn't answer. I watched him come back and stand there, staring at me.
"Doll."
I turned my head twords him. I completely forgot what was going on in the room until I saw Furys gaze on me. It was intimidating but it did get tiring from time to time.
"Y/n. Focus." Fury said, his eyes trailing back to the screen.
I didn't pay that order much attention. Looking back out the window, I saw him still staring at me. His dead like eyes staring right back at me, it sent a shiver down my spine. The bullet in his chest haunted me. These powers haunted me. I got out the chair and slowly followed him, every move I made his body shifted a bit more to follow me. He started walking, meeting me halfway. The Tower doors opened and he stood there, his arms hanging down at his sides, and his eyes staring in mine. It was like a dull grey, that special spark of blue dissappeared along with his life.
"How?" I asked, my throat closing up just by the sight of him.
"I didn't see him behind me." He answered, his voice robotic like.
The rest of him was in tact, his hair was the same, there wasn't any blood, no sign of a struggle or anything.
"They weren't human....were they?" I questioned, watching as he shook his head.
"Don't take this mission. It's not worth it. Unless you want me dead..." His voice trailed off a bit.
I immediately shook my head, "No! Never!"
"Then make me stay." He responded, his brows furrowing, "Please."
"I promise." I replied, slowly reaching for his hand, "W-was it planned?"
"I thought it was you....but it wasn't. It was a clone." He mumbled, watching as our fingers intertwined.
"If I send the others.....will they make it out alive?"
He nodded, "Yes."
{Bucky's POV}
She was doing that thing again. It's been happening recently, her eyes would turn black, she'd stare straight ahead, and the world would fade from her. It was like she was being possessed, it scared me sometimes. But, it was her powers. I had to remind myself of that sometimes. I knew she'd wake with a jump, so I stood beside her, making sure she'd see me first. The meeting ended hours ago. I was going to search for her when I saw her outside, staring into space. I thought her eyes would be black, but they weren't, they were her natural (E/C) color. I took her to Bruce and he examined her, he said he's never seen anything like it, especially from her.
It worried me for a second before he explained what was going on. She was in fact using her powers, but she wasn't doing her normal looking into the future thing, she was doing something different. That part, he couldn't explain. Because of her, everyone has avoided an ambush, bombings, murders, and practically death. She's saved everyone on the team at least once, including me. That's what I love about her. The way she cares for even the most horrible people, I think of myself like that but she proves me wrong everytime. I was holding her hand, rubbing small circles on her knuckles until she woke up. A little later, she did, she woke up with a gasp and nearly fell off the bed. Tears brimmed her eyes as she looked around worryingly. When her eyes landed on me, that's when she started crying. For a minute, I thought I had did something to her, but when she ran and hooked her arms around my neck, that told me otherwise.
"What'd you see, doll?" I asked, holding her close.
She took a few deep breaths before speaking, "I-I saw you. You can't go on this mission. I don't care what Fury says, please....don't go. I'm begging you."
I nodded, I didn't understand but if she didn't want me to go it was a done deal. I wouldn't go anywhere. She sighed with relief before pulling away, looking at me seriously, almost brokenly serious.
"Don't sneak out to the mission and don't leave this Tower, James." She huffed, eyeing me.
When she said my first name I knew she was serious. First names meant they were serious, first and last meant you were in trouble and could possibly get away with it, the whole name meant you were dead, and just the middle name meant I was fucked. Completely.
"Yes ma'am." I responded, making her smile a bit.
"What did you see?" Bruce asked, taking the IV out her arm.
She froze, her eyes on the floor, "I don't want to talk about it right now."
"That's fine." Bruce smiled at her, "When you are though, write in your book, don't forget."
"I won't." She gave a small smile, shaking her head.
I walked over and picked her up. Her legs wrapped around my waist and my arm securely tightened around her frame.
"Movie?" I asked, walking out the lab.
"Please." She mumbled in the crook of my neck.
I knew her powers spooked her sometimes. No amount of blood spilled will satisfy me for what HYDRA did to her. It was unforgivable to me. Most likely to her too. Getting comfortable on the couch, she cuddled into my chest and watched the Disney movie, a little yawn leaving her mouth. She was adorable to me. And that's all that mattered.
