Jay's POV:
As I woke up the next morning after having a bad dream/panic attack related to my PTSD, I sighed because I didn't want to wake Erin up this morning. Unfortunately that didn't happen because she just made her way out of the bedroom while I was out here making myself some breakfast. Looking up at her as she came downstairs, I sighed. "Sorry if I woke you up." Erin then looked at me. "Where are you going?" I looked at her. "We need groceries." She then glared at me. "You need to clear you head don't you?"I sighed and nodded. "I was going to go to the hospital to get some anxiety meds. I'm out and needed some last night. I hope that's okay?" Erin nodded and agreed. "I felt you move a lot last night. You sure you don't want me to go with you?" I sighed and shook my head. "No, I'm okay. Just getting worried about this week. I am dreaming about all the bad stuff that could happen this week. It is pretty similar to stuff I've seen while I was overseas." Erin then nodded before moving to hug me. "Want me to come?" I sighed and shook my head.
"I would rather you stay here where you are safe. It's already going to be risky since I am going to be in the same room as my brother." I then went to push a strand of her hair behind her ear and smiled. "I promise though, I am okay. It shouldn't that busy anyways. It's Saturday morning." Erin agreed and smiled as she moved to kiss me softly. "Promise you'll take a COVID test while you're there. We have been out of the house a lot and you are there so you have time."
I agreed and nodded. "Might as well. I just hope it's covered by insurance." Erin smiled and nodded. "Hank said that the CPD is covering it for all employees. Since you are an employee at the CPD, I already know that you are covered." I smiled when she said that and nodded. "I promise I'll be safe okay? I know you are probably really worried about me but...I am going to be fine. Oh, and I might be dropping by Antonio's boxing gym after. We need to speak about next week. How we are going to do stuff. Either in person or on the computer."
Erin sighed. "Shouldn't I be there?" I then looked at her. "You are doing it on the computer regardless." Erin nodded and understood. "Because I am pregnant right?" I agree and nodded. "Sorry Er, but...it has to be this way this year." Erin the nodded and sighed as I walked up to her. Moving my hand to her neck, I went to kiss her forehead softly. "Listen, we will get through this together...I promise." Erin then nodded and smiled as she hugged me. "Promise you'll be safe at the gym." I agreed and nodded. "I always will be." Erin then smiled as she leaned back and looked at me.
"I am not really worried about it anyways considering he is going to be really safe when it comes to COVID. He wants to be able to see his sister and nephew. Oh, and Sylvie is pregnant." I chuckled and nodded. "About that. I was hoping we could invite Will and Natalie over sometime. We haven't really let them see the new place since house since we moved in together. Also, Will wants inspiration for the nursery." Erin smiled and agreed. "I got Hank last night, you get them tonight. How about you go and I can call Will and Natalie."
I smiled, loving that idea. "They should be off today." Erin then smiled as she came to hug me. "Stay safe, love you." I smiled at her. "Love you too." I then went to give her one last kiss before leaving. Erin waved at me when I left and just smiled.
Erin's POV:
Once Jay left, I smiled since I was alone for the first time in a while. Don't get me wrong, I love him but...sometimes a woman needs to be alone. However, I just have to call my in-laws before I get going. Might as well get it over with. Grabbing my phone, I went to look for Natalie's contact and went to call them while sitting on the couch. I was glad she answer. However, it seemed that I woke her up. "Erin, what time is it? You okay?"I then realized that I had indeed woken them up. "Let me guess, I woke you up?" She sighed. "It's okay, you guys okay?" I then heard Will speak up. "Erin okay?" I laughed. "I'm fine. I was just going to call to invite you guys over for dinner. You guys haven't really seen our place yet because of how busy you guys have been. And now that you're off for a few days...I thought it'd be time for you guys to come over." Natalie loved the idea. "That sounds great. Maybe we can do supper and after we can leave Owen there for a couple nights?"
I sighed and didn't expect that. "You guys working tomorrow?" Natalie sighed. "Unfortunately. We could only get one day off since we are now battling both COVID and flu season." I understood what she meant. "Listen, Jay just went to the gym. But, let me talk to him today before you come over. Then, we can give you an answer later." She agreed. "Of course. Listen, I need to go okay?" I then heard her phone drop on the bed. Will then sighed and grabbed the phone.
He was about to say something. "Will I understand, I just went through it too remember?" Will nodded and chuckled. "Talk later." I then went to hang up when I finished talking to them both and smiled as I walked into the kitchen again. Walking up to the fridge, I went to open it before seeing a note on the OJ. "Breakfast is in the microwave." I then smiled when I saw that and went to send Jay a text. "Thx babe. <3" I then went to the microwave and grabbed breakfast so I could eat.
