Sirens (Cheryl fanfic)

Chapter 94

Max went downstairs that night for dinner with blotchy eyes from the crying she made..After the first session with Rose, its like she doesn't want to go back anymore.. Cause her past is being brought up again..And she admits that she can't face it..Cause its too painful for her..

Walking to the kitchen, she saw hrr parents setting up thr table and as soon as her parents noticed her prescence..They looked up to her and something caught Max's eyes. Her Mam is in the same state as her..And she knew she had been crying, but a small smile form on her lips as she stopped what she's doing and walk towards her...

"Go on take a seat..Your Mum cooked.." She placed a soft kiss on the teen's head trying her hardest to keep in her emotion cause as soon as she saw her Maxene..her emotions are already getting best of her..

She guided Max to her seat as Katy placed the cooked food on the table..Taking her crutches off and placing it on the side..She kept her eyes on her Mam as she walks over the fridge taking out some orange juice and placing it beside Max's plate..

Some sort of guilt is eating Max on the inside but she tries to brush it off.. She thinks that she's not doing anything wrong so she just focus on eating her food as the couple sat down on their seats.

"Maxene I have rehearsals tomorrow and your Mam has a meeting-"

"I'll stay here.." Maxene said bluntly and this made Cheryl froze and she swallowed the lump that's growing in her throat..

There was some kind of pain that she felt in her heart at the thought of Max choosing to stay home over being with her with the meeting which was its suppose to be cause they do everything together.. Wherever Cheryl is, Max will be with her and stay by her side.

But Cheryl chose to be quiet right now..She doesn't want to argue. She just finished her food with an uncomfortable silence surrounding them..

"Are you sure?"

"Yea..Wacky's here..We'll be alright."

Cheryl was the first one who finished her food and without a word she stood up and walk away

Katy, on the other hand, was watching her girl's every move. She already noticed her girlfriend is yet again close to tears while her daughter looks like she doesn't care of her surroundings..It was breaking her heart.. She had seen Cheryl broke down earlier with the situation.. She can't imagine how much Cheryl is hurting now.. And her daughter is also broken.. She's so broken that she had put walls around her afraid that if she break it, something bad will happen again..

"I'm done" Max muttered snapping Katy out of her world as she turns to Max to see her grab her crutches and struggle to walk with one crutch to Cheryl and Katy just watched her.

Max didn't said a word as she placed fown her plate by the sink where her Mam is washing the dishes and just turn around to go back to the table and this made a tear fell from Cheryl's eye.. Her daughter didn't even said a word to her..

Max didn't noticed that and just grab her other crutch and walked out of the kitchen and went upstairs..She just wantd to lock herself in her room like she used and just wait when complete darkness takes over her..

"Chez.." Katy whispered as soon as they heard a door shut..Cheryl didn't respond and just continue with what she's doing..Even though her vision is getting blurried from the tears that's daring to come out.

Katy lets out a sigh and stood up as taking her plate and walk towards her girlfriend..She placed her plate down by the sink and turn to face Cheryl to see tear tracks on her cheeks..

She can't take it anymore seeing Cheryl like this so she stopped her from what she's doing grabbing her by the shoulders and pulling her into her arms and that's when Cheryl broke down again burrying her face on Katy's shoulder..

"Just let it out.." Katy whispered into her lover's ear closing her eyes as she held her tighter. She feels like her heart is being torn into bits and pieces as she hears every sob that's coming out of Cheryl's mouth..

"Am I invisible Katy? Tell us.. Cause I don't understand why she can't see us.. Haven't spoke a word to us.."

"No you're not invisible baby...I-I still don't understand why Max is acting up right now.." Katy placed sweet kisses on Cheryl's head.. Trying to give some comfort..

"She hates us.."

"No she doesn-"

" She chose to stay here and not come with us to the meeting...Katy she's suppose to come with us..She always comes with us when it comes to this.."

"No, Listen to me.." Katy pulled back and paused a distraught looking Cheryl making a lump form in her throat.. She gently wipes her tears and touched her chin making Cheryl look up to her.

"I need you to understand..That Max is just going through something..She doesn't hate you."

"But-"

"Cheryl..I said listen to me..She doesn't hate you.. And I think she never will. God, that girl is Mammy's girl..She's just going through something babe..Something so personal that even us can't know..And we should understand that."

"B-but I-I really miss her.." Katy sighed and pull her back into her arms again rubbing her back as she cry..

"Me too...So much. But she just needs time..Time to recover from all that happened..and we should give her that.." Katy felt Cheryl nod her head..Minutes later Cheryl pulled away completely wiping her tears and looked at Katy..

"Babe..Go change..You're top is already wet.." Cheryl whispered as she turned to the dishes again wiping her tears.. She was about to continue what she was doing earlier when Katy stopped her taking her arms gently making Cheryl look at her..

"You're tired..Go on upstairs and I'll locked up here."

"But Ka-"

"Come on..I'll just continue this in the morning.. Go on, go upstairs and get ready for bed while I locked up here okay?" Katy placed a soft kiss on Cheryl's cheek and forehead making a small smile form on Cheryl's lips..

"I'll wait for you upstairs.."

"Alright.." Katy placed one last kiss on Cheryl's lips before letting her girlfriend get ready for bed..

Cheryl went upstairs while Katy locked up the doors making sure that everything is in tact before going upstairs..Thinking of what would the day be like tomorrow..And wishes everything would just go back to the way it was..

Just a short one..Exams are this week and I'm already stressing about it >.< But hope you like this one :) Xxx
