Sirens (Cheryl fanfic)

Chapter 110

A few hours before Katy gets on stage but until now, she's not ready. She's just layed on the sofa with her shades on. Trying to keep her emotions in but its not working as she lets out a soft sob while she held her phone close to her.

"Why the tears Katy..." Jay said softly but Katy didn't respond and just look at her phone. Shannon and Jay exchanged looks.

"So are you going to do the show..Cause I'm trying to figure out what's going on here. "

"She feels depressed." Shannon whispers. Katy can hear them and what they're talking about is making the tears fall down as she fumbles the necklace Cheryl gave her. Katy can't help herself and called Cheryl again bringing her phone up against her ear but still it went straight to voice mail.

"Baby.. I miss you so much. " Katy ended the call. And just cried making Shannon and Jay sighed as they exchange looks. Jay walked over to Katy and crouched down to her level.

"You doing okay?" Jay said softly but Katy didn't respond and just wiped her tears.

"You have a lot in your mind right now...You have to options here..Its either you cancel the show or you do your best." Katy realize that she also needs to put aside her personal problems for the people waiting for her to give them a show. But she knows she can't give it all.

"I'll do the show." Katy sniff as she wipes her tears and lets out a breath. Shs just have to petend for a few hours.

A week later...

"Mam.." Max knocked on her parent's room. Its noon and Cheryl haven't gone out of her room. The breakfast that Max brought her earlier is still on her doorstep. And it somehow adds up to the pain that Max is feeling deep down in her heart. She's too affected by what is happening. She wants to talk to her Mum but she doesn't know what to say. She wants to help her Mam but she won't even let her in. She felt useless.

"Mam, You need to eat.." Max says hiding the shakiness in her voice as she took the breakfast plate and replace it with a new cooked food.  After that she stood up and let out a shaky breath. She rests her head against the wooden door and closed her eyes.

"Mam..Please, If you want to talk. I'm just here."  She says as her voice cracked at the same time the tears fell.

"I'm fine, Just leave us alone babe.." Even thought Cheryl said it in a gentle and calm tone, Max still felt hurt. So she just stood straight and turn to walk away. A sobbed escaped her lips as she walk downstairs and sokn drop down at the bottom of the stairs sitting down as she burries her face in the palm of her hands.

She was hurt at the same time she's sad. She's been suffering all week. She tries to remain sensitive about what her mam is going through but she doesn't know how much longer. Yes she's selfish but all she wants is her mam's love.

A buzz brought her into reality so she wiped her tears and walk towards the door composing herself. She tolk in a deep breath before opening the door revealing Kimberley and Nicola looking worried.

Maxene manage to fake a smile as she swallows the huge lump forming on her throat as she steps aside and let them in before closing the door.

"Babe where's Cheryl?"

"Uhm..She's in her room." Max's voice cracked and tears filled her eyes making Nicola pull her in her arms as the teen sobbed.

With the state Max was, Nicola and Kimberley was getting more worried. Max is getting affected by the situation and they didn't like it.

Kimberley stormed in the kutchen getting the duplicate key of Cheryl's room and went straight upstairs seeing the tray on her doorstep. She moved it aside before unlocking Cheryl's door to gind her bestfriend curled up in the middle of the bed her back is turned to her.

"Cheryl..." She slowly walk towards the bed and sat down to see Cheryl staring at nothing.

"Babe.."

"Kim..Why did she did that...Why did she broke my heart." Cheryl's tears fell. She was tired of crying but she can't seem to stop. She's hurt.

"I thought she was the one. That's why I was suppose to propose to her right. Why I want to marry her and spend the rest of my life with her right. And all that sh*t."

"Cheryl you need to pick yourself up..What's done is done..You just need to move on.."

"Its not that simple." The two fell silent. Kimberley doesn't know what to say. She wants her best friend back but she doesn't know how.

Bzzz Bzzz

Kimberley turn to where the sound came from and figured it came from Cheryl's phone but the brunette didn't make an effort to take it and to find who was it.

"Aren't you going to check that out." Cheryl stayed still like she didn't heard a thing making Kimberley sighed and took the phone by the bedside table looking who was it just to see tons of voice mails and text messages majority of them are from Katy. She looked over Cheryl before playing the recent voice mail.

'*breathes* I'm sorry..*sniff* You're my world baby.. you're my whole universe..Remember when I said I'm never  giving up on you..' Cheryl was listening to the voice mail and she was sensing something. Something bad.

'I meant that. I would never give up on you. *sob* But I'm giving up on myself.." Cheryl shot up and looked at Kimberley as they exchanged worried looks.

"I hate myself for hurting you...For doing what he did..For being such a jerk. I just don't feel myself anymore...So *sniffs.* I just want you to know..for the last time.. I love you..I love you so much..I hope you find someone who would never hurt you and stick with you until the end.. Someone who will take care of you and Max until you both grow old still together.." Cheryl snatched the phone from Kimberley and dialled Katy's number immediately but her phone was already turned off which sends Cheryl on alert. The next thing she knew was her getting dressed up.

"Kim please get us a flight..I need to go to Katy." Kimberley immediately called tge airport and booked the earliest flight.

"Its in 10 minutes"

"We'll be there" The both of them literally ran downstairs alarming Nicola and Max.

"What's happening."

"Baby go in the car..and please hurry "

"Mam what's happening? Where are we going.."

"I'll explain on the way. Just go please." Max obeyed her mother and ran out of the house followed by the three. As soon as they all got in, Kimberley steps on it speeding through the streets.

Max and Nicola are still unaware on qhat was going on. But its making them nervous.

Cheryl didn't stopped and dialled Mary's number her heart beating frantically kn her chest.

'Cheryl..' The tone in Mary's voice sends Cheryl into a frozen state.

It can't be She thought. Her blood dropped down and tears flow down her cheeks.

'W-Where's Katy?' Max looked at her Mam with a frown on her face. As she slowly untangle herself from Nicola..

'S-She's stable..But she's not awake yet..' Cheryl felt a sense of relief washed over her. And all she wants right now was to see Katy.

'We'll be there in a few hours..'

'Alright..' Cheryl hung up and sighed and a tear fell but she immediately wiped it away.

"Mam tell me what's happening.." Cheryl glanced at her daughter and its only this time that she was able to stare at her daughter to find bags under her eyes, and she got thinner and her eyes were blunt.

"Katy's at the hospital..But Mary said she's stable now. She just needs to wake up." Although Max was shocked by the news, she didn't let it show. She just sat back and returned in Nicola's arms which sends some kind of jealousy in Cheryl. Her mother instincts are coming back but she just shrugged it off.

Cheryl can't deny that after everything that happened, She still loves Katy. She loves her too much that the anger fade away. But she knows that they might not be able to be back to normal. Cause their hearts had a mark of pain that can never be removed, only by time and love.
