Chapter 106

Cheryl and Max had just arrive in California. Its the day she will ask permission to Katy's parents to marry their daughter. After a whole week, Cheryl's family and friends already knew about it and was so up for it. They were too excited about it.

But still Cheryl's nerves are getting the best of her, she's still nervous about it cause she doesn't know what will happen after this day cause today's Katy's last show in California so that only keabs she's also proposing to her now.

"Earth to Mam." Max said as she waves her hand infront of Cheryl making her snap out of her thoughts turning towards her daughter.

"You okay?"

"Yea." Cheryl gave her a small smile but it wasn't enough for Max to believe her. She knows her Mam is very nervous but she was confident that Mary and Keith will accept her permission.

"We're here!" The driver said making Cheryl and Max nodd and got out of the car. Max held her Mam's hand as they walk towards the Hudson's Residence.

As they got into the front door, Cheryl rang the doorbell taking a deep breath making Max squeeze her hand.

"Just speak from the heart." Nax smiled to her Mam which made Cheryl a little bit relaxed. But as the door open revealing Mary and Keith with smiles on their faces, Her heart starts beating fast and hands are starting to shake.

"Cheryl, Max..what are you doing here hon. Get inside" Cheryl nodded as they walked inside the house and gave Mary and Keith a hug.

"Where's Mum" Max asked as they sat on the sofa.

"She already left sweetheart.. Want some coffee or tea?"

"Tea please."

"Of course.." And with that Mary went inro the kitchen. Keith somehow noticed that Cheryl was uneasy.

"Cheryl, is there a problem, you look nervous" Cheryl look up and just offered a smile shaking her head. It was umconvincing but Keith just brush it off thinking it might be personal.

"Here it is.." Mary walked towards the table placing down two cups of tea.

"Thanks." Mary sat on the opposite couch looking over to Max and Cheryl.

"So, what brings you here?" Cheryl and Max exchange looks. Max smile at her Mam making a small smile on Cheryl's face.

"I wanted to talk to you about something." Cheryl started.

"What is it?"

"I'll just go to my room I'm tired." Max butted in and excuse herself leaving the three alone in silence. Cheryl stood up and paced back and forth her nerves getting the best of her

"Uhm...How will I say this.."

"What is it hon?"

"Hear us out.. Uhm.. You both know that Katy and I have been together for almost a year. A-And I love her so much..so much. I can't go on without her. I know it sounds cheesy but its true. And I want to spend the rest of my life with her and Max. So I'm hoping-"

"I think I know where this is going." Keith said making Cheryl stop in her tracks and swallow as she look up.

"I was hoping if you would let us marry your daughter." Mary and Keith didn't respond cause they were shock by it making Cheryl hung her head down and a lump form behind her throat. She was fighting the urge to cry.

"Cheryl.." Cheryl composed herself as she looked up to see both smiles on their faces making her confuse.

"We're giving you our blessing. You can marry our daughter.." A few moments to sink in and Cheryl finally lets out a shaky breath of relief. She can't explain the happiness that took over the nerves.
