Early in the morning, Cheryl crept in Max's bedroom to find her daughter still lost in dreamland, with her hair all over the place and she's sprawled out in bed with the duvet hanging on her leg.

It somehow made Cheryl giggle softly at her daughter but soon faded as her mind traveled to their relationship right now, It wasn't like before.

Cheryl fixed her daughter's position tucking her in before sitting down beside her daughter just staring at her. She looks so peaceful putting Cheryl in ease. A small smile form on her lips as she slowly brought her hand stroking her little girl's hair.

"I miss you so much" Cheryl whispered before leaning down planting a soft kiss on her daughter's forehead. A lump formed behind her throat as continues to stare at her daughter with pure sadness. How can she bring her back to her. She doesn't have a clue.

"Babe..." Cheryl turn and saw Katy looking at her as she rub her left eye which made Cheryl smile.

"Hey. I just checked up on her " Katy smiled and walk towards her fiance giving her a kiss before planting a soft kiss on her daughter's head.

"Do we have plans for today?" Cheryl asks.

"Uhm...Nothing, I guess...Oh right we have to go to shops and buy some groceries we're running out of supplies."

"I was thinking if we can have a family time. Just the three of us." Katy noticed a hint of sadness in Cheryl's voice making her frown.

"Babe, is there something wrong?" Cheryl looked at Katy. Taking her this as her chance, Katy looked deeply in those brown orbs and with the intense stare, Cheryl looked away.

"No,nothing. " She gave her a small smile before looking at Max again. Katy wasn't buying this but she decided to leave it and just wait for Cheryl to spill it. Katy sighed and sat beside Cheryl making Cheryl lean to her as she take her into her arms and planting a kiss on her shoulder.

"Ooo, you love these." Cheryl said as she pick up some strawberries. Max just look up to her mother for a second before returning to whatever she's doing on her phone.

She was in a bad mood cause today's suppose to be the start of her lessons with Joe and she can't do it cause her parents will find out about it and she can't do anything but to come with her parents to the shops.

"What do you prefer, medium ones or the bigger ones." Max didn't respond and just sighed giving Cheryl the message.

"Okay, We'll just take both of them." Cheryl placed the strawberries in the cart and sighed. Maybe this whole family thing happened in a wrong time.

"I got the nutella and some chocolates." Katy said as she came into view making Cheryl smile at her.

Katy placed the items in the cart and glanced at her daughter. Even though Max wasn't talking to anyone and it seems that she's in a bad mood, Katy can't help to smile at her daughter. She was happy that she's trying to do this with them at least that's what she thinks.

"And that's done."

"Oh, So lets go and pay for all of this."

"I'll be in the car." Max said and without waiting for a response she's gone. The couple exchanged looks. Cheryl looked away and sighed sadly making Katy walk up to her and held her hand making Cheryl look up.

"You okay?"

"Yeah." Cheryl smiled at her sadly as she nods."Come on lets pay for this, so we can go home." And with that Cheryl pushed the cart towards the cashier making Katy sighed. She knows now that Cheryl has a problem and maybe that involves Max.

Max's P.O.V.

"Joe maybe tomorrow we'll start with the lessons. When my parents aren't home." Max said as they both sat on the bench outside the house. It was already dark and the stars are full show.

"Max what do you need driving lessons for? Its not like you don't have a driver."Max looked at Joe who's pretending to be confuse earning a smirk from her.

"Funny.. I have an interest in drag racing bu-"

"Drag racing!" Joe said loudly making Max's eyes widen and she immediately covered his mouth making Joe raised his brows.

"Sshhh! Someone might hear" Max withdraw her hand and sighed.

"Max what're you thinking, do you know how dangerous drag racing is."

"Its not dangerous if I know how to drive and I believe you would teach me that."

"No, I can't do that."This made Max's head snap to him and saw Joe shaking his head.

"You said you would teach me."

"But you didn't said that it was for that. God, Max your parents will kill me. I don't want to lose my job nor my life."

"What are you saying. They won't find out, unless if your going to tell them." Max looked away. An this gesture made Joe guilty. He already said yes and now, he's taking it back.

"Oh Alright, If it'll make you happy."Max turned to Joe and smiled."Thanks. It means a lot."

——————-

"Wow, You're a natural." Joe said as he leaned back on his seat and look at Max in this belief. Its the first day of their lesson and Max already mastered how to drive and she's really good at it.

"How the hell did you do that."

"I had quite some experience." She winked making Joe shook his head.

"Honestly, You don't need following lessons. You can actually drive now."Max's face lit up. She took off her seat belt and and lean towards Joe giving him a hug.

"Thank you so much for the help.."

It was already seven when Max got home from the town to buy a junkyard race car and went to the stadium to talk a race with them and it didn't made her parents happy and the missed calls from didn't help either but Max didn't care in fact she knows her parents are calling her but she just ignored them and just put her phone on silent mode and stuff it inside her bag.

She's now at the front door and stormed in just to be met by her upset parents. She knows something is coming but she tries and ignores them just like how they've been ignoring her for the last couple of days.

"Where have you been Maxene Tweedy-Perry. Do you what time it is." Katy scolded the teen but she was too tired to even listen.

"I'm going to bed." She said bluntly and with that she walk upstairs leaving a frustrated Katy in the front room.

"Ugh! What will I do to that girl." Katy groaned as she paced back and forth in front of Cheryl who was sat on the sofa silently staring at nothing. She was worried sick, and little by little she was now thinking that Max is slowly changing into a total different person. A person she never wanted her daughter to be. And it hurts her that she knows the reason behind it. She knows the reason is her.
