Chapter 133

" I want you to meet the other judges." I said to Katy as we drove to the hotel where we'll have the meeting.

"Oh Alright."

"Mam, can I see Simon?" A frown made its way to my face as I look at her on the backseat.

"Why is that?"

"Nothing, I just want to say hi." She smiled making me return it and nod.

"We're here." Katy says as she pull over and turn off the engine. I took off my seat belt and open the door as I stepped out of the car.

The venue seems clear though I see some paps a few meters away but I just ignore them and open the door for Max. She smiled at us as she climbs out of the car.

"Thank you mother." She giggles then plants a kiss on my cheek before I shut the door.

"All set?"

"Yea" Katy took my hand interlocking our fingers as we all made our way inside the hotel.

We we're met by Lily guiding us to the venue. Katy kept her hand laced with mine the whole time not letting go and I love it.

"Chez what happen to your lip?" Lily asked pointing out the cut on my lip making me look at Katy and she has a smug look on her face making me roll my eyes. I look over to Lily and Max to see them looking at us.

"Katy bit it." I said making Katy gasped dramatically.

"No, I-" I looked at her with raised brows and she started stuttering making me giggle.

"Alright I bit it." She sighed in defeat leaving Lily and Max in giggles.

"Okay, so the meeting haven't started yet. I'll meet you up later."

"Thanks Lils." She gave us a nod and walked away. We walked in the double doors to find Nick and Rita sat by the sofa and they stood up as they saw us.

"Katy! Cheryl!" Katy lets go of my hand to give Rita and Nick a hug and I immediately missed her contact. I also gave Rita and Nick a hug.

"Oh and I believe you're Maxene." I smiled as Max nodded. Rita and Nick gave her a hug.

"Where's Simon?"

"He hasn't arrive yet. Wait, what happened to that?" She pointed on my lip again making me sigh.

"Ask Katy" Nick caught the point and let out a cheer. Making us giggle.

"Sorry can't help it." I roll my eyes at her and scan the room realizing that Max was nowhere to be found and it made my heart pound.

"Katy, where's Max?"

"I don't know, I thought she's just here in the room." I excused myself from them and walked out of the room hoping to find my daughter.

I don't know whats going on with us but I'm absolutely nervous right now and with the fact that the nightmare I had just days ago is still fresh in my memory, I just can't get her off my sight.

I took my phone off my bag and turn it on dialing Max's number immediately. I wait impatiently for her to pick it up but she's no answering.

"Mam!" I jumped and turn around to see Max running towards us. I immediately pulled her in my arms sighing in relief.

"Where have you been?" I said firmly as I pull away and grab her arm pulling her towards the room.

"Mam, I just went to the loo and I somehow got lost through the hallway." As soon as we entered the room I sat her down by the round table and sighed.
