Chapter 42

Cheryl's P.O.V.

I had a dream last night. But it feels and looks so real that it bothers us now. I' m not myself today and I keep thinking about that dream.

"Babe, you need to rest. You have an operation in the morning." I whispered as I made my way to her bed. The girl on the bed nodded and slide back down the covers. I couldn't quite see her face cause its all a blur but she's so thin. I tucked her in and place a kiss on her forehead.

"Mam, I'm not tired yet." She whispered and smiled at me making me sigh.

"But you need to rest. Come on babe just please go to sleep."

"Can you talk to me first until I fell asleep." I felt a lump on my throat as I realize what she may be doing.

"What do you want me to talk about?" I sighed giving in her request. She smiled and shrugged.

"Anything. What about you and Katy." That caught me off guard losing words and felt my face heat up so I looked away as I heard a giggle.

"Mam, you don't have to be shy. I know you have feelings for her." She whispered.

"H-how d'you found out?"

"I figured out myself. So tell me." I look up to her to see a grin on her face and her eyes sparkle making me smile.

"Okay, I already had feelings for Katy even before I found you. I tried to stop it cause I was thinking that it was wrong. And it won't work, that I'm straight. Kimba knows that cause she found out herself too. Three months after Katy left the UK, I've finally moved on. Well, that's what I thought till she called us the day the paps were at the house. She was being sweet with us already, saying she missed us. Then she called me last night drunk and told me she had a month off so she'll go here to visit us and she called us her girlfriend."

"Did the feelings came back?" She asked softly with a sweet smile on her face. I slowly nodded as I hear her giggle.

"Mam you've got it bad." She whispered making me giggle.

"Do you think what I'm feeling is right? Well, she's straight and I'm straight but why do I feel different about her." She smiled and gently took my hand making me raised my brows.

"There's nothing wrong with what you're feeling. If its meant to be, it'll happen. Just be patient and listen to this." She placed my hand on my left chest.

"Don't let anyone break that." She whispered as I notice her eyes getting heavier but she's trying her best to be awake.

"Babe, come on. I know you're tired. Go to sleep." I whispered.

"Can you sleep with me please?" She pouted and slightly moving as she tapped the now, empty space beside her. I sighed and nodded. I climbed in the bed and she immediately cuddle to us as I put my arms around her.

"Mam, please promise me one thing." She whispered as I started stroking her hair.

"Hmm, and what is that?"

"Please don't let me go"

"Maxene..." I whispered as I felt the lump on my throat getting bigger and tears started to blur my eyes.

"Just incase-"

"Just incase what? You're not gonna make it? Baby please don't do this, you're gonna make it." I let tge tears fall.

"Just please promise." I look down to her to see her staring back at me with a small smile on her face. I sighed and nodded as I placed kisses on the top of her head.
