Chapter 32

Max's P.O.V.

There she said it. She had that wide smile on her face as she introduce me to every single person in the room. She never let me go, she just held my hand or put her arms around me.

Some persons were shocked when mam introduced me and eyed me up and down making me feel a bit small. Luckily mum's always there whose giving me sweet smiles every single time I glance at her.

"Maxene. Baby you okay?" I turn to mam and saw her look at me with concern eyes and she's tearing up. Mam's gone emotional since I told her I'm dying and I really can't blame her.

"I'm fine" I croaked and smiled at her.

"So. Maxene, tell me something about yourself." Simon said making me look at him and felt a bit nervous cause I'm not use to this. Sat by a single table with people I really don't know yet.

"Simon, can you please leave her alone" Mam sighed and pull me closer to her. I look away from Simon's stare and put on my hood feeling insecure again.

"What, I just want to know more about your daughter here."

"Why do you have know her for. She's my daughter is that not enough?"

"No. Why are you in such a mood Cheryl." I feel my breathing starts getting heavier and mum seemed to notice this.

"Honey, are you okay?" She whispered in my ear as she held my hand. I looked at her and shook my head making her eyes widen. She stood up making everyone look at her.

"Katy, where are you going." Mam said but mum completely ignored her and grabbed my hand pulling me up as I let out a gasp.

"Excuse us for a sec." We're about to walk when mam grab my hand. I curse in my mind for mam's actions.

"Cheryl. Let go. She's having an attack." Mum whispered and mam instantly let go. Mum pulled me to the sofa and grabbed her bag beside it. She quickly pulled out my inhaler and put it on my mouth and pressed it as I inhale the gas. I pull away as I let out a cough and mum rubbed my back.

"Baby, Are you better?" Mam said as she rushed towards me putting her arms around me tight.

"Maxene, I think we should go home." Mum said making mam shot up and frowned at mum.

"No, mum I'm fine yea."

"But you need to rest."

"Katy, she can stay here if she wants to." Mam huffed and I guess she's a bit upset at mum. Mum sighed loudly and pulled mam to the side away from me leaving me wondering what they're talking about.

Cheryl's P.O.V.

"Katy-"

"Cheryl, do you realize what cause Max's attack. Its because of you and Simon's arguing, so how can she stay here when you two argue even at small things." I frowned at Katy and I'm getting a little bit frustrated on how she's acting.

"I'm having a really bad day Katy so can we please get back on that sofa and decide to stay here until the shows over."

"No, we're going home" She snapped and she was about to walk out and grab her hand making her turn to me

"Why are you acting this way?"

"I'm not acting like anything. I just want to take Max home so she can rest. What is wrong with that."

"But she said she was fine wasn't she?" I sighed making her groan and rubbed her temples.

"Chez, listen to me...Max and I are going home and we'll wait for you there tonight. Is that okay." She sighed and walked out. She grabbed her bag and whispered something to Max then Max walk towards me hugging me.
