Chapter 12

Its been a week since I've started with home school. Ms. Lopez my home school teacher taught me a lot and I found out that the recatngular thing that mam is using is called a phone. She says almost everyone uses that to communicate with others even though they are really far away. And that one amazed me.

Ms. Lopez thinks I'm a bit weird at first cause I'm already 16 and I don't know anything about the world but when I told her that I came from the orphanage and didn't get along with the others she understood and we get along very well.

Now, Ms. Lopez and I are just chatting by the garden cause our lessons are already finished.

"What is your reaction when you found out that Cheryl Cole is your mother?"

"At first, I really don't know who she was. So I thought she's just a regualr woman but I took it well" I lied. I don't want her to know my full story.

"Why don't you want to go to a proper school love."

"I'm not really good at socializing with other people."

"But you can learn how to. You'll also learn new things and have friends." She beamed at me and she sounds so convincing. I do wanna have so I'll know how it feels to have one.

"Think about it Max. You know you can have friends easily cause your mum is a popstar."

"No, when I go to school, I want to be known as an ordinary girl not the daughter of a popstar." With this I can really test who's a true friend and not.

"So you'll do it?" She smiled but I sighed.

"I want to try it but I still need to talk this with mam." She smiled and and stood up.

"Well, I have to go...See you soon yea?" I smiled as we walked in the house. I walk her to the door and she turned to open it.

"I'm really proud of you Max. You're a fast learner and I bet you can easily adjust if you ever go to school." She smiled before stepping out of the door.

"Thank You Ms.Lopez. You are very sweet but can I ask a favor."

"What is it hun?"

"Can you keep my identity a secret. I know the paps are doing their best to know who I am and I think its best if they don't know." Her face softens and nodded. And with that she walked away then I closed the door when she's out of sight. Now I have to think a way how to tell mam about this.

I was sat on the sofa watching a film when I heard the door open and closed signaling mam is home so I shot up and walked by the door and saw mam making me smile. I run to her and jumped on her wrapping my legs around her hips and put my arms around her making her giggle.

"Someone missed me" She says making me smile and pull away getting on my feet.

"Mam, I have something to tell you." I said as I grabbed her hand pulling her by the sofa and sat her down as she looked at me confuse. I sat beside her and smiled at her.

"What is it you're gonna tell me." She says as she lightly pinched my nose making me giggle.

"Mam, I want to go to school." I blurted and her smile slightly fade and she let out a nervous laugh making me a bit worried.

"But you are going to school"

"No, I mean I want to go to a proper school with other people around." She looked away and let out a sigh making me frown.

"Is there something wrong?" She looked up to me and shook her head.

"Do you really want to go?" I smiled widely and nodded as I rest my chin on her shoulder looking up to her. She smiled and let out a loud sigh.
