Chapter 76

Author's P.O.V.

Two weeks had passed. Many things had happened..Katy went back to America as she promised to her management that she'll come back when Max wakes up..It was hard for Max cause she missed her parents a lot and then her mum would have to go back...She cried that night she left..She didn't even say goodbye cause she was upset with her and until now they're not in speaking terms. And it worries Cheryl cause its affecting the both of them..

This isn't the only problem Max has cause she has a bigger one and its the worst at the moment remembering a call she recieve just yesterday.

Max's P.O.V.
'Hello'

'Max, this is Hannah...Yea, I know  you might be confuse on why I'm ringing you right now but I think you need to know something..' Its about the tone of Hannah that makes me nervous..its like something is happening and I won't like it.

"What is it?" I know its shaky cause I'm really nervous.

"Daniel..."

"What about him?"

"Uh yea...Max..Daniel's filing for custody.." I'm sure I'd gone deaf cause there's no way I heard that one right.

"What?"

"I tried to talk sense to him saying its not a good idea..but he was having non of it..He said its better when you're wi-"Her voice gone muffled in my head as I had lost it. Custody..that means he's taking me..away from Mam, away from my parents..and just see them twice a week.. I don't even like Daniel..I'm f*cking scared right now..

"Uh...I-I have to go.." I ended the call not giving her a chance to reply. I felt empty and lost.. I don't what my place is anymore..I don't want to live under the roof of Daniel even though he's my father..I want to stay with my parents. I want to stay with mam..

A simple phone call changed me..I'm sat here in the front room just staring in space waiting for mam cause we're going to the arena for the finals..I haven't got any word out of me since I woke up and I'm not myself..I kept thinking what will happen if ever mam lost the case. What if...she won't fight for me..just let me live with Daniel..Suddenly the doorbell rang making me jump getting back into the real world.

"Maxene can you get that.." Mam yelled from the kitchen. I stood up from my seat as my heart starts to beat fast..I know this is it..this is the letter.

I sighed as I made my way towards the door with icy cold hands and shaking knees waiting for my nightmare to come true.. I slowly turn the golden knob and open the door revealing the postman..This is it..

"Mail for Ms. Cheryl.." He handed me a brown envelope with a smile on his face..I gave him a small smile before nodding and with that he disappeared.. I stared at the envelope that I'm holding as I close the door and went back to the sofa...I swallow the lump forming on my throat..

"Who was that?" I hear mam said but I didn't respond..I can't speak. I've gone mute just staring at the envelope here on my lap.. I felt her sat beside me but didn't look up..

"Max..who was that and what is this.." She took the envelope from my lap..My arms found its way around me..Its my way for comfort. Cause I know I'd be in tears as soon as mam finds out what's in that envelope..

"F*CKING HELL.." I close my eyes as I feel the thumping of my heart. I brought my knees up to my chest..Everything will change..I would change..

Author's P.O.V.

Cheryl was in rage..Her temper right at the moment is on the top..He can't believe Daniel can do this to her..take away her daughter from her...She quickly ring Daniel ready to blow up to him..She waited impatiently pacing back and forth at the front room muttering curse words under her breath clutching the papers tight making her knuckles white.
