Sirens (Cheryl fanfic)

Chapter 53

Sirens fills the air, and It was all a blur to Cheryl and Katy as Max is wheeled to the ambulance..They're not ready for this. It was like they're in slow motion as they both got in the ambulance..They felt empty as they stared at Max's lifeless body layed out on the stretcher..

"There's barely a pulse..." One man whispered, as he took a glance on the distraught looking couple.

Cheryl touched Max's cheek and tears starts to fill her eyes again..This is not how she imagine the party would end. Katy held Cheryl's hand as she touched Cheryl's head guiding it to rest in her shoulders..She was avoiding looking at her daughter. Cause she knows she's gonna break down any second.

"D-Did you find a donor?" Cheryl in barely a whisper. Katy shook her head..There's nothing we can do..She thought.

"Based on the results, Her heart is already very weak that it can not function properly.. There maybe a chance that she wakes up but we need to accept that she wouldn't last another day anymore.."

The words that are coming out of the doctor's mouth are killing both Cheryl and Katy.

"What if we find a donor?" Katy said as she held a sobbing Cheryl closer.. She was hopeful that by finding a donor, then the problem will be solved. But the way the doctor looked at her makes everything fall..

"I'm so sorry Ms. Perry but we're just risking her life even more if we do that...I'm afraid there's nothing more we can do..." Cries can be heard and the footsteps of the doctor walking away after he told them they could see Max in five minutes. Cheryl sobbed in her lovers arms while Katy was staring into space. The girls were in bits as well as Garry who's comforting Joan.

The guests had gone home wondering what was happening as they witness what happened in the party..Paps are flooding outside craving to know the truth or just take some pictures and create a story behind them..Its funny how the life of Max changed eventually..Before no one cared for her like she was just a shadow in this world but now everyone seems to be interested in her life..

Beeping sounds was all that can be heard in Max's room. She's still hasn't woke up yet and Cheryl's waiting for her to..Katy had gone home saying she need to get something but the truth is..She wants to be alone to process all of this...

Cheryl haven't stopped crying yet..Everytime she glances up to her daughter tears will pour down...She was angry, angry with herself, angry with the world...

"I just got you back..." She whispered as she held her daughter's hand.. She's starting to go back...Go back to the dark world she's been through years back.. Her other half is slowly slipping away.

"I-I can't..." Cheryl broke down again resting her head on the bed with Max's hand interlock with hers..

She wasn't ready for this..Not now. Her whole world is slowly falling apart with every sound of the machines in the room. A clock ticking as time pass by..

She then felt a soft squeeze on her hand making her slowly look up to see Max's eyes open staring at her.

"Baby.." A weak smile form on Max's face. Cheryl wipe her tears but there's no use as bew ones are falling again.

"Hey, m-mammy.." Max croaked as Cheryl stood up and didn't reply as she inmediately takes her daughter in her arms and started sobbing as she felt a soft touch on her back.

"It'll be alright..."

"I-I don't want you to go...I-I won't cope.." Cheryl sobbed.Max didn't respond and slowly, her hand travel to her mam's face resting her forehead against hers.

"Ssshhh..." She breath out and closed her eyes. " Y-You know, I will stay if I can...But, I'm tired mam...Very, very tired.." Its true, Max was tired that she can't go on anymore.

"Baby...Please I'm begging you please stay...I'll do everything...We'll go out of the country..Just us family..We'll go somewhere quiet. No trouble around just please stay.." The pain Cheryl was unbearable...It was the most painful moment of her life. Max just smiled weakly at the thpught of what Cheryl said.

"I won't last longer..." Max held her mam as tight as possible as a few tears slipped from her eyes. She hates seeing her mam like this. Bur she can't do anything about it.. She can't cure the pain they both are feeling.

Katy is sat in the middle of Max's room with Max's tape recorder in front of her. She's been crying since she got in the house and now she's empty...

Mam, mum...Sorry to put this on record but I want to apologize...Apologize for keeping stuffs and telling lies...I just don't want to hurt you both...Yeah..Just always know that I will stay right there in your hearts for as long as you live..I love you two so much..

One message and she's already in tears. She can't believe how she had strongly attached to this girl. It was something that amazes her.. And now, its scaring her.. Her baby girl is slipping away and she'll be gone forever.

"Beep, Beep...Wakey, wakey *giggles* Goodmorning my dear parents...There's a wonderful day ahead of you so get up now.. I love you.

A smile form on Katy's face on what she just heard.. A good morning message. She'll definitely get that as her alarm...She was about to see the next one when her phone buzz

Babe: Max is awake. Where are you?

As soon as she saw the text, She shot up and literally ran out of the room grabbing everything she needs and srormed out of the house..She needs her baby right now..She needs to see her and hear her even though its the last time.
