Staring at the window, Max was consumed by her thoughts. Her mind was thinking back to these past few days. When she would wake up in the morning like this. When she would wait for her mam to come out of her room. The times that she would not eat and just sat by Cheryl's door hoping any time soon, She'll open it. When she would try to talk to her mam begging her to come out and at least eat her meals. The time when they got here and her mam was still focused on her mum still ignoring her.
They don't love you...She whispers to herself as a tear drop on her damped pillow. She keeps asking why is she still doing here. She's tired. Yes she loves her parents.. Very much, more than herself but it hurts her a billion times every time something comes up in their little family making her numb. If problems and rejections can cut, maybe she's already covered with fresh cuts and scars all over her body. The teen is broken and fragile and all she wants is for everything to be okay.

Cheryl and Katy tried to walk in their daughter's room again. They really want to talk to her because they are both scared. Scared that Max will turn in to the dark side again. They're just getting her back.
As Cheryl rolled Katy in their daughter's hospital room, they saw Max sat in her bed just staring at nothing. The changes in her body are on full show which made a lump form in their throat.
Max was aware of their presence and just didn't said a thing. She secretly wants to hear her parents' side and also she wants to let her emotions out..
"Hey, how're you feeling?" Katy whispered as they made it by the bed. Max didn't respond. which made the couple exchange looks.
Cheryl let's out a sigh as she made her way towards the bed and sat facing her daughter. She studies her face specially her eyes which are full of mist. It was empty.
"Baby, do you want anything, do you need anything. Just tell us." Cheryl said in a soft voice as she removed the hair covering her daughter's face and tuck it behind her ear. She got no response from her daughter making her tear up. She cautiously moved closer to her daughter and lean forward planting a soft kiss in her daughter's forehead.
"I'm so sorry baby... I really am." She whispers. Max slowly raise her head up meeting brown orbs swimming in tears.
"I was broke, and stupid..I'm not myself. Baby, I'm so sorry." Cheryl looked in her green eyes hoping to find something but nothing. Her eyes were blunt and empty.
"You both left me.." Max's voice cracked. She was close to tears but she's trying her best not to break down her parents cause she's afraid that they'll think that she's weak.
"Mum, you lied to me. You said you won't hurt mam, But what happened? Then since that you didn't talk to me. Mam.. You ignored me for a week, you locked yourself in your room while I wait all day for you to come out.." And with that she broke down. Who is she kidding, she's weak and that's very evident.
"You both left, And I tried to understand but what's left for me? I also need love, where are the both of you. I feel worthless."
"Hey! sweetie you're not worthless."
"Well, that's what your making me feel!" Max snapped as she wipes her tears. "Last night, when we arrived from the beach. Mam left us behind again, as she rushed into your room. I'm not gonna lie to you mum, I was mad at you and I was jealous of you." Katy felt a pang of hurt in her heart as she listens to whatever her daughter has to say. While Cheryl is frozen in her spot taking in what her daughter had just confessed.
"To see her with you giving you kisses, worrying about you, talking to you. Made me prove that I don't belong here. Cause these past few days, I've been trying to do all of that. I made all effort for mam to talk to me. But with you, just one call and she's off. I keep asking myself 'Is it not enough?'. " Katy take her daughter's hand and placed soft kisses on it. Max didn't made any movement and just let her cause she wants affection and attention and most of all she wanted a motherly love.
" I'm so sorry angel, I didn't mea-"
"No, I know its not your fault. Its no one's fault. I just.. It's okay" Max's burden in her heart was slowly fading as she lets her emotions out. She's now in the state of forgiving cause she wants everything to go back to the way it was. Max looks up to her Mam at the same time Cheryl broke down in front of her.
"I'm sorry baby..I-I'm so sorry" It breaks Max's heart to see her mam in this state. And without any second thoughts, She launched herself to her mam hugging her tight as tears fell taking Cheryl by surprise but hugs her daughter back giving her all the love her daughter needed.
"It's okay now. I forgive you." Max said those words, even though she's still hurting inside. She know it will take time... More time for their little family to go back to the easy it was before or even herself. But she knows that she needs to forgive them because she loves them very much.
Maybe in time, the scar of the family will be healed and maybe in time, Maxene's invisible cuts will heal and make her a better person.Cause she doesn't want to go back to the darkness where she had been before.
Cheryl and Katy was still on proving that they regret every single actions did they do before. Max gave them a chance, they won't waste it..
Tell me what you think??? Xxxx ;)
