Chapter 15

The ride home was silent. I keep glancing at mam who was obviously still angry. She has a frown on her face and she's gripping on the steering wheel too hard making her knuckles white. And I just sat there trying to figure out what to say.

I'm really glad about mam going to school and standing up for me, but even though. I figured that I still want to go to school because of Emily. She doesn't know what was going on here cause she's out of town and I just don't want to leave like that.

We finally arrived infront of the house. Mam turn off the engine and let out a loud sigh as she rested her back on the backrest rubbing her temple as her eyes were closed. I leaned back slumping in my chair and just look out the window. How the hell will I tell

I want to go back there. She'll errupt if I did.

But if ever I'll come back, what will happen. I bet the mean girls will suddenly act nice around me cause my mam's Cheryl Cole. I think I can talk to mam about this but not now, not when she's in a bad mood.

Suddenly my breathing got heavier, so I got out of the car to have some fresh air. I let out a deep breath as the cold wind hit me. I glanced at the car as I walk away and saw mam on her phone talking to someone so I decided to give her some space so she could calm down. I walk in the house and sat by the sofa waiting for mam to come in.

Cheryl's P.O.V.

"She's going through that every f*cking day Kimba and I don't even f*cking know about it." I sniff as I rest my head on the wheel as I felt my emotions taking over me.

"Babe, can you stop the swearing. It won't fix the situation will it."

"Its just hard to witness how they call Maxene names even in front of us." I let out a shaky breath as I leaned back on my seat pinching the crook of me nose.

"Well, its all over now isn't it."

"F*cking yea it is. I won't make her go back there again."

"Cheryl, will you calm down." I sighed cause I can tell that she's alreafy pissed off.

"Oh by the way since you already called I want to tell you something."

"What is it?"

"Well, I bumped into Simon earlier an-"

"He just won't stop." I sighed in frustration. Simon's been annoying me lately asking me to go back to the X factor.

"I'm getting annoyed Kimberley really annoyed."

"Can you just give him what he wants and besides you're not doing it because of him. You're gonna do it to help a person to reach his or her dream."

"I'll think about it Kim cause my mind's all over the place and I really can't handle thinking another problem right now."

"You should just talk to Max babe."

"Yea. I'll do that." I whispered.

"Mam" I look up from the kitchen counter and saw Maxene on the door rubbing her eyes.

"Hey baby. Had a good sleep?" I asked as she made her way to me and I put my arms around her as she rest her head on my chest.

"Have you calmed down?" She whispered looking up to me. I look down at her and planted a kiss on the tip of her nose and nodded. She smiled at me and rest her head on my chest again.

"Mam ever thought about dad." I froze and I think my yeart stopped for a moment. I have no idea where Daniel is right now. I don't have a clue and never heard from him since I dumped him.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt Max pulled away and looked at me straight in the eye.

"You haven't told me about him yet. You just told me his name and that's it." I was stuck for words and can't manage to get my words out.

"Uhm.. W-Why the sudden interest babe." I said quickly hiding the nervousness in my voice.

"Nothing, it just came across my mind earlier." She shrugged. "So tell me something about him." She sat by the stool beside us and turn to face us and I sighed. There's no escape here now.

"Well, your dad is a great person. He is. I'm just this stupid one letting him go."

"Can you describe him for me mother." She smiled making me shake my head smiling.

"He's tall, brown hair, had green eyes like yours, pouty lips. He's kind and is a gentleman. He's sweet and brave." I smiled as she grinned at me.

"But I don't know where he is now. I haven't heard from him since I broke up with him."

"Mam do you still have feelings left for dad." I raised my brows at her not believing what she just asked me.

"Babe, if you asked me that years ago, maybe a little but now, I don't know babe." I said truthfully. And tge next thing I knew is her arms wrapped around me tightly. I hugged her back pulling her closer.

"That's alright mam. The important thing is you're here and you found me." She whispered and planted a kiss on my cheek making me giggle.

"I love you baby." I whispered as she hugged me tighter.

"I love you too very much." I smile widely and rest my head on her shoulder.
