Chapter 25

I look up when she doesn't said anything. She was just staring at me but kept her hand on mine.

"What?" She raised her brows making me look at her confuse.

"I said Max is my daughter."

"You already said that." She smiled and some kind of relief washed over me.

"You still want to be with me?" I whispered dropping my head. I felt her move closer and felt her nose on my cheek making me look up to be met by her lips.

"It won't change a thing." She whispered on my lips making me smile.

Maxene's P.O.V.

I woke up with no one in the room but me. Its a bit odd what I'm feeling right now, I feel like my days are counted and I don't know what will I do. Even though my heart is already fixed, I still find myself having a hard time to breath.

I started to think things in a worse way. What will happen if ever that time will come that my heart can't take it anymore. How will mam take it. I felt a lump on my throat at the thought of that.

I suddenly heard the door creaked open making me look up and saw Katy walk in.

"Hi, sweetie. Your mom sent me here to see if you're already awake." She smiled as she walk over to me and planted a kiss on my forehead. Wait, wait. Mom. She knows.

"She told you?" I whispered. Her face softens and she slowly nodded.

"But babe, I won't tell anyone. I promise." She zipped her mouth abd pretended to throw the key making me giggle.

"Uhm, Max. I want to tell you something." I raised my brows at her.

"Actually, Cheryl and I have something to tell you but I can't really wait to fi-" She was cut off by the door opening revealing mam carrying two paper bags.

"Wait a sec." Katy stood up and helped mam carry the bags as they whisper to each other making me quite intrigued.

"Hi Babe, How're you feeling?" Mam said as she walk towards me and planted a kiss on my forehead.

"I'm fine. Katy said you and her have something to tell me what is it?" I said as Katy made her way beside mam and they both exchange looks making me confuse. What're these two on about.

"Babe, K-Katy and I are... together now." My eyes widen at the sudden confession. Its not that I don't approve of their relationship. I approve really, its just came as a shock to me.

"Maxene..." I hear mam whisper making me look up to her and Katy who's looking very nervous so I gave them a smile that formed into a grin. They sighed in relief and they both hugged me tight.

"I'm happy for the both of you." I whispered as I gave them both a kiss on the cheek. I wrapped my arms around their necks and smiled. I turn to Katy making her look at me.

"You've gone lezza for Chezza eh." I said making them laugh.

"Take care of my mammy yea." I said as I planted a kiss on mam's cheek.

"I will babe. I'll never let her go."

"Aww, You two are so sweet, it makes me sick." They giggled as I pull away.

I 'm being discharge from the hospital today. Its not because I'm fully recovered, It's because I want to and asked mam if she can take me home. I'm still a bit weak but I really want to go home and be in bed all day.

"You ready?" Katy asked as she sat beside me. I nodded and smiled at her. I rest my head on her shoulder and at the same time mam walk in looking stressed.

"F*cking paps are here." she said frustrated and paced back and forth.

"What will we do?" Katy whispered as she rubbed my back.

"Lily's at the back entrance of the building already in the car. So I suggest you and Max just go there and I'll just take the main entrance."

"Are you sure?"

"Yea. I can manage. Now, you go now. Lily's waiting for you." Katy nodded as I sat up and she stood up as she held my hand facing.

"Can you do it?" She asked softly making me smile and nodd. Mam came into view and help me up.

"Babe, are you sure you want to go home right now, You're still weak an-"

"Mam, I'm already fine yea. Don't worry." She nodded and planted a kiss on my forehead as Katy put her arm around my waist.

"See you later. I love you yea." She whispered and I smiled.

"Love you too mam." She turned to Katy and gave her a peck on the lips as I put on my hood

"I love you. Be careful yea." And with that we started to walk out of the room.

"You alright?" Katy asked as we walk through the hallways on our way to the back entrance. I nodded and gave her a small smile.

Honestly, My chest is in a little pain. And I can hear my heart pounding in my chest. I still feel nervous even though I've done this before.

We got out of the building and immediately saw mam's car so we got in immediately. I let out a breath and hide my face on Katy's shoulder feeling sleepy.

"Its done now. Are you okay?" Dhe whispered as she held my face.

"M'yea." I mumbled as I felt the car starts moving. I can already hear yells and calls from men but I just kept my head on Katy's shoulder.

Suddenly the car stopped and a door opened making me look up and saw mam already beside me. I raised my head slightly as the yells and calls of the paps are fading. I turmed to mam and rest my head on her shoulder as she planted a kiss on my forehead and I felt Katy held my hand making me smile. I'm finally going home.
