Chapter 112

Max found herself outside the hospital sat down on the ground her back against the concrete. She doesn't know how she's there but somehow it made her feel at peace. She hasn't had a meal yet and all she can hear is the grumbling of her stomach. But she tries to ignore it although she already feels weak cause she can't do anything about it. She doesn't have money so how can she buy some food to fill her up.

A buzz brought her out of her thoughts which was from her phone. So she took it out from her pocket and looked at it to see Nicola's name flash through the screen. She immediately answered.

"Maxene.."

"Hi"

"Can I talk to your mam babe, We can't get a hold of her. " As much as Max doesn't want to go to her Mum, she has to cause she's sure that her mam is there.

"Can you holdon for a minute."

"Of course babe."Max put the call on hold as she stood up and walk towards the double doors and went to the reception.

"Katy Perry" She said at the nurse making her look at her with raised eyebrows.

"Relative?"

"Kind of.." The nurse raised an eyebrow to her making Max irritated.

"Sorry miss but we don't give information about our patients that is confidential."

"But I need to see her!"

"Miss, Sorry we can't give out information unless your a relative of the patient."

"Can you just tell me where her room is?" Max snapped. She was getting annoyed with the nurse. She just wants to go to her mum's room to give the f*cking call to her mam.

"Miss, I think its just best if you leave. "

"What?!"

"Maxene!" Max turned to the side and she was relieved when he saw Keith walking towards her.

"Grandpa!" She cheered as she ran into his arms hugging her tight. Getting some kind of comfort from him.

"What's happening princess?" Keith whispered making Max sighed in frustration.

"The nurse wouldn't let me know what mum's room is."

"Wait a sec." Keith walked towards the reception leaving Max by the lobby. She look at her phone and raising it upon her ear.

"Nicola, can you wait any longer. There's just a small problem going on."

"What, What is it?"

"The nurse by the reception doesn't want to tell me what mum's f*cking room number is."

"Wait what, I thought...Where are you anyway. And should you know it already, you're with Cheryl right."

"I haven't gone into her room. I lost sight of mam earlier so I just waited outside the hospital."

"Oh okay, I'll wait."

"Come on, lets go to Katy.." Max nodded and followed Keith through the hallways. As he glanced at Max, he notice some changes. She's gone thin, the bags under her dull eyes and the much paler skin, it was making him worried.

"How's my princess?" Max turned to her grandpa and just gave him a small smile. She wants to say that she's not fine. That she feels like an outcast but it seems like her mouth is not agreeing to that.

Moments later, they had arrive at Katy's door. Max took a deep breath before walking in making everyone look at her but she kept her gaze away feom everyone else. And just walked towards her Mam handing her phone to her.

"Ma-"

"Nicola wants to talk to you." She said bluntly. Cheryl slowly took the phone as she stares at her daughter before answering it.

Katy stared at her daughter properly. And she immediately noticed the changes. Thinking ehat happened this past few days. She became alert when her daughter turn to walk away.

"Maxene, baby..." She started catching everyone's attention but Max didn't turn around.

"How are you?" Max was trying her hardest to keep the tears and frustrations in.

"M'fine. I'll just go outside." She said and with that she walked out of the door and started running. Though she was running out of breath, she still kept going. She ran away from the hospital tears in her eyes without a clue on where her feet will take her. She's just wants to think.

"What happen to Max, Cheryl." Katy asks as soon as Cheryl hung up. Cheryl turned to her with a confuse look.

"What do you mean?"

"Have you seen your daughter. She's back to her old figure. She's so thin. And she already has bags under her eyes." Cheryl immediately felt guilty. She knows she's suppose to be responsible for Max but all she did is lock herself in her room.

Katy got suspicious when Cheryl didn't answer. And it makes her heart beat fast.

"What have you been doing these past few days?" Cheryl took a deep breath and burried her face in the palm of her hands.

"Lock myself in my room. I didn't went out. I don't what was happening."

"You didn't even checked on Max if she was eating or not"

"No, I thought she's eating. Cause she's making us meals everyday and leave it by the door then she tries and talk to us." Katy wasn't sure on what to feel. She needs her daughter back and she thinks that they need a proper talk. Just the three of them.

"Cheryl, I think the three of us should talk."

"I agree. "

The couple waited for Shannon and their daughter to come back and its been a while since then. Cheryl and Katy were becoming nervous as they waited impatiently for them.

Suddenly the door slam opened revealing a breathless Shannon.

"Max is missing.."

"WHAT?!" Cheryl and Katy's eyes widen as Cheryl shot out of her seat. She rushed to Shannon and demand details.

"I've looked everywhere. But nothing. The guard said that they saw a girl ran out of the hospital and turn left." Cheryl was in the verge of a panic attack. But she kept herself up and grab her car keys.

"I need to find her.." She says as she leabs down to kiss Katy on top of her head.

"Babe, Find Max please. And be careful."

"I will.. Shan you come with us." And with that Cheryl stormed out with her thought on where her daughter could be.

She promised that she's not going back until she finds her. She won't give up on her this time.
