As soon as Cheryl got home, she immediately went towards the kitchen and went over to the bar and got a bottle of vodka. Drinking the contents straight from the bottle.
She was emotionally stressed and the only solution for her right now is a bottle of vodka. Her emotions were kept in and she just wants to let it all out.
She made her way upstairs holding her vodka bottle and went to their room drinking again.
"F*ck" She muttered as she tripped on a shoe making her stumble. Sitting on the bed, she placed the bottle by the bedside table feeling a little bit tipsy. Cheryl is a lightweight and she's really not a drinker but as for the moment, she really needs it.
She can hear her phone kept ringing in her bag but she just ignores it as she remove her shoes before collapsing in bed staring at the ceiling.
The silence in the room made the thoughts in her head go wild. And all she can think of is her nightmare...the events earlier..Max. She tried to recall events from the past that and tried to think of what she had done wrong again that made Max disobey her. And she couldn't think of one.
So she's really lost right now. She has no idea why her daughter turn against her again. Maybe Max is still mad at her for grounding her. Its the only reason she can think of. Or maybe she still hasn't forgive her for everything. Though she apologized many times and proved that she regret it a thousand times, she can't deny that she was getting tired.
She was getting tired of apologizing thinking she was already fully forgiven then not. She understands that what she had done in the past is hard to forget. But Max already told her she forgave her, so many times already. But the truth is she's still carrying that burden. And Cheryl was already looking stupid. Thinking that they were okay.
"F*ck this life." She muttered at the same time hot tears slipped out of her eyes. Shr can't help herself, she's hurt. So hurt and all she can do is driink and stare at ceiling till her eyes give up and just put her to sleep.
--------
Max couldn't sleep. Everytime she tries and close her eyes, she would always picture how her Mam looked at her earlier. It's so full of disappointment and Cheryl haven't looked at her that way before. And she didn't stayed. That's what stabbed Max in the heart. She was expecting Cheryl to stay by her side. But she left, without any goodbyes.
A few tears flow down Max's eyes biting her lip to prevent her from letting out a sound. She doesn't want to disturb her Mum's sleep cause she knows she's tired.
Why did you f*cking agree with the race! She was cursing herself in the inside. She was blaming herself. Maybe too much blaming.
This is the first time she broke a promise and it was killing her. It resulted to her Mam being mad at her, it caused her broken bones and it caused the trust to be shattered.
Though they didn't say it, but she knows their trust in her was too much affected and trust is very important. And she regreted every single second that had taken place earlier.
She wiped her tears with her good hand but still new ones fell down. A soft sob escaped from her mouth then followed by another then another and the next thing she knew she can't stop crying and her cries are getting louder which woke Katy up.
"Max" Katy whispered as she squinted adjusting her vision from the light and when she saw her daughter in hysterics, she became alert standing up and holding her.
"Hey, What's wrong. Do you need a docto-"
"Mum, I want to go home.. I want Mam! I need her!" She cried and it broked Katy seeing her like this.
