Y'all I love getting requests omg
Tw: cursingRoman grumbled as he wrapped his arms around himself, having forgotten a jacket.
It had started raining, right now it was slow and would have been calming if he didn't have to walk home. It was gradually getting worse, though, and he was still a long way from home.
"Hold this!" The world went black as someone put something over his head. He quickly tugged it off, seeing it was a jacket.
He looked back to the person, recognizing him from work. Virgil or something like that.
He was jumping around in puddles, head tilted up to the sky letting the rain delicately land against his face and hair.
Roman looked down at the jacket in his arms, figuring if virgil wasn't going to wear it, someone should. He tugged it on, sighing at the warmth.
He moved to under a bus stop to hide from the rain as he watched virgil. Just as he did, the rain began falling faster.
Virgil wasn't much of a talker, most people often avoided him because of his angry scowl he wore during work hours.
Though here, he looked genuinely happy.
A wide grin was on his face as he willingly collapsed into the ground, fully soaking his clothes as he laid there for a moment, just relaxing, breathing softly as his eyes closed.
Roman stood there for a while, before slowly making his way over to him.
"You're going to catch a cold." Roman said, looking down at him. He opened one eye, supposedly checking who was talking before he opened both.
"Well, at least you won't." Virgil smirked as Roman blushed.
"I-im sorry! I just- you weren't using it so I figured-"
"It's alright. It looks better on you anyway." Virgil waved it off, closing his eyes again.
"No, no, really, you look great in the jacket! I just- y'know- rain-"
"Just say 'thank you', Roman." Virgil interrupted, his smirk becoming a genuine smile.
"Thank you." Roman sighed flusteredly with a smile.
Virgil nodded, looking up at him for a moment before grabbing his hand and pulling him into the puddle.
Roman yelped, sitting up. Despite the fact that he was soaking wet now, the jacket still kept him warm, which was strange.
"Seriously?" Roman grumbled, glaring at virgil.
"Seriously." Virgil replied cheekily. "It's only a bit of rain."
"I hate the rain."
Virgil gasped. "Saying you hate the rain is basically saying you hate me!"
"Wh- I don't hate you! I really like you, you're-"
"Oh, you really like me, huh?" Roman blushed brightly.
"That's not what I meant! I barely know you!" Roman huffed, looking to the side.
"Knew me enough to wear my jacket and sit in the rain with me." Virgil grinned at Romans annoyed expression.
"You don't have to be best friends with someone to do that." Roman crossed his arms.
"Mhm, sure." Virgil rolled his eyes playfully. "How about this," he sat up, "we get lunch sometime, but only so you could admit to really liking me."
"And if I do really like you?"
"We get dinner."
Roman thought for a moment, before he was interrupted by a truck driving up.
"Roman, what are you doing? You hate the rain." Remus asked, poking his head out the window. He looked at Virgil, smirking. "Ooh, who's your friend?"
"He's a coworker." Roman stood up, going to open the passenger door.
"Ah, ah! You're not getting in my truck like that. I treasure this baby more than family." Remus waved him off. "Get in the trunk."
"That's against the law!"
"Since when do I care about the law?"
Roman huffed, climbing into the bed of the truck.
Virgil stood up, walking over to talk to Roman.
Remus stepped on the gas, which caused the back tires to move and cover Virgil with muddy water.
"Remus!"
Remus was too busy laughing his ass off to pay attention to the scolding.
"It's fine. I was just sitting in a puddle a second ago." Virgil waved it off. "So, what do you think about lunch?"
"Free food and the chance of getting a date?" Roman asked, thinking. He smiled, nodding. "I guess it wouldn't be too bad."
"Great. I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"Alright, I'll see- OH MY GOD, REMUS!" Roman screamed as a Remus began to drive way over to speed limit, nearly throwing Roman out of the car. "Asshole!"
Virgil laughed, shaking his head and begining his slow walk home, a stupid grin on his face.
Sigh it doesn't rain where I live </3
