Virgil was panicking.

He was panicking because he felt that Thomas wasn't working as much as he should. He seemed to be in a creative slump as of recently, which Virgil assumed was because Roman hadn't left his room in a few days.

He stood outside of Romans room, swallowing nervously before he knocked. He waited a moment, but got no answer.

"Roman?" He knocked again, anxiously waiting some more. He cursed softly, hesitantly opening Romans door.

As he stepped in, everything shifted. He was now in the kitchen, sat on the couch next to Roman, an arm around Romans waist.

Virgil knew this was daydream mode which means Roman mist have known too.. Why would Roman be daydreaming about this?

"Roman?" Virgil took his arm back, Roman looking over, panicking as he realized that Virgil was actually there.

"Virgil! Wh-what are you doing in here?"

"I wanted to talk to you about Thomas. You didn't answer the door so I let myself in.. Why haven't you left daydream mode?"

"I... It's just- It's good here." Roman couldn't look him in the eye. "I never have to worry about anything and everything is how I like it."

"Roman, you can't just stay here. Thomas needs you."

"Virgil, I can't.. It's perfect here. Out there, I'm taunted and alone.." Roman looked up at him. "You could stay too, y'know. It really is great here. I'd give you anything you want." He said while taking Virgils hands in his.

"Why do you want to stay here so badly?" He asked. He ignored Roman holding his hands, he just needed to try to convince him to go back.

"It's daydream mode. Anything I daydream about I can have it here."

"What could you possibly want so badly that you can't have out there?"

"I- Virgil, I just-"

"No, what do you want that badly that you're willing to leave us for your own imagination?" Virgil took his hands away from Romans, burying them in his pockets.

"You, Virgil! I.. I want to be with you." Roman admitted, ignoring the way his voice strained with emotion.

"Why didn't you ever say anything?"

Virgil panicked as Romans eyes shined with tears.

"I.. I was scared, mostly. I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable or something... I don't know- I wasn't willing to risk losing you."

"Roman," Virgil wiped away Romans tears softly, "you could never lose me."

Virgil hugged him tightly, Roman taking a deep breath as he hugged him just as tight.

The room shifted back into Romans bedroom.

"I'm sorry, Virgil." Roman mumbled against his shoulder.

"Don't be." Virgil pulled back a bit, hands finding Romans. "Can I take you on a date sometime?"

Roman grinned, "yes!" he hugged him again.
