Wow I'm currently being a lazy sack of shit I need to do something with my life

Or maybe it's just my mental illness

Anyway

Tw: crying, cursing

Janus knocked on Romans door, not getting a response. He hummed, opening it anyway to find the normally organized bedroom... a complete mess.

Roman was sat at his desk, staring tiredly at his computer, reading an article while also writing down notes. His hair was a mess, no doubt from him constantly running his hand through it. He wore a plain white shirt and red sweatpants, different from his usual attire, which normally was a button up in a bright color and usually white or black jeans.

"Roman?" Janus asked, resting a hand on his shoulder. Roman jumped, looking over at Janus before looking around his room. He flushed with embarrassment at the state of his room

"Jeez... Sorry, Jan, Lemme just clean up a bit, um..." Roman got up quickly, stumbling as he tried to make him room more presentable.

"That's okay, Roman. You've been taking your dinner into your room lately and I wanted to see if you would like to have dinner at the table today. You've been spending quite a lot of time in here."

"I would, but I have so much to do and not enough time." Roman said absentmindedly. "I still have to finish my digital art piece and..." He trailed off, cursing as he dropped his laundry, sitting back down to open said art piece.

Janus nodded, deciding to help. He picked up the discarded laundry, dropping it into a basket, before going to Romans desk and gathering all the dishes.

"No, Jan, I can do it. I'm sure you have something to work on for your classes, I don't want to get in your way." Roman said, standing and taking the dishes from Janus.

"Roman, let me help you. Really, I have nothing else to work on." Janus smiled, making the other lose track of thought for a moment, before he shook his head, taking the dishes to the kitchen.

Janus followed, watching as he carefully put the dishes into the sink, before getting distracted by his literature book. He groaned, grabbing it and bringing it to his room, opening a document on his computer.

With Roman now distracted, Janus slowly went back to cleaning up his room, picking up crumpled up paper balls of work that wasn't deemed good enough from the ground. He collected a few, dumping them into a bin.

"Janus!" Roman groaned, looking over at him.

"Roman!" Janus mocked, continuing to clean and ignoring him. "Having a clean room is good for focus. You can't focus and clean at the same time, so I'm just helping you a bit."

"Janus, I don't need your help! I can do this by myself! I don't need to be taken care of and I don't need you to clean up after me!" Roman yelled in frustration. He groaned as tears filled his eyes. He rested his face in his hands, sighing heavily. His voice shook as he mumbled, "I can do this. I-I don't need your help."

Janus frowned, wrapping an arm around Romans shoulders. "Roman, it's okay. How about your get something to eat while I run you a bath. I think you need to relax a bit."

"No, I can't. I have so much to do- I don't have the time to take a bath." Roman sniffled. "I shouldn't have joined after school classes. Fuck..."

He laughed dryly, wiping his face.

"I'm sorry, I don't know whats wrong with me lately." Roman huffed, giving up on wiping at his tears that continued to fall.

"Theres nothing wrong with you, Roman. Crying is a normal reaction to stress." Janus gently wiped his tears, causing romans already flushed face to darken. "C'mon. You do need a break."

Roman nodded, following Janus to the kitchen.

After some friendly banter on what they'd eat, they ultimately decided on pizza. They ate in silence, which was comforting for Roman.

Roman took his time eating, while Janus got up without finishing his slice, wiping his hands free of any sauce or crumbs. He went to the bathroom, setting up a comforting bath for the other.

"Okay, your bath is ready when you are. I'll be in my room if you need me." Janus smiled.

"Okay." Roman smiled back, getting up. Janus turned to walk back to his room. "Hey Jan?"

Janus turned back, jumping as Roman hugged him tightly. "Thank you."

Janus smiled, hugging back and leaning against him. "Of course, Roman."

They stayed like that for a moment, before Roman sighed, pulling away. He smiled softly, walking off towards the bathroom.

Janus watched him, sighing softly, before he went to his own room.
