Dumbledore gathered everyone in the Great Hall one morning. Everyone were surprised to find the victims had awakened and sat among the others.
Joel saw Justin Finch-Fletchley was sitting with his friends, being patted proudly.
All teachers but Gilderoy Lockhart were at the teacher's table.
Dumbledore spoke mightily in his speech '...This day, I reveal the end of our terror. It has been discovered, that the culprit incidents of these past months was not someone we all know in school. A cursed diary was interestingly befallen in the hands of an innocent... That book... that book... was Voldemort's diary...' People started whispering loudly at the mention of the evil one. 'This poor innocent student, which I will not reveal name, fell victim to this curse, and reawakenes the basilisk. A terrible beast that Voldemort created and kept since long time ago when he was still a boy in Hogwarts...'
Everyone shuddered hearing the word Voldemort rolling off easily from Dumbledore's mouth.
'Our brave three students, thank you, to Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ronald Weasley. For the brave act in stopping the curse of the basilisk. Special thank you to Harry Potter himself, as he has killed the basilisk with the sword of Gryffindor!'
Everyone clapped. The gryffindor clapped louder.
'So... it's not Harry Potter?' Anthony asked in guilt.
Joel could see the gryffindor students patting the trio saviours. He had to admit, he was quite jealous.
'To reward their astonishing bravery, I shall reward-'
Oh no...
'The Gryffindor-'
Please don't.
'With a point-'
No. Professor.
'100 points! For this heroic bravery.'
The Gryffindor students roared.
Joel was in disbelief. 'This is a disaster,' he said, but clapping along.
'True,' said Terry, clapping his hands. 'We're off 200 points.'

Arriving back in 9 3/4, Lizzy held back Joel for a minute. 'I want to give you something, wait,' she said.
Joel waited in anticipation.
She pulled something out of the pocket of her jeans.
'Your wand?' Joel asked. 'Well, thanks, but I have my own.'
In silliness, Lizzy made a mistake. She put it back in and pulled out the right one. Chocolate wand. A chocolate shaped like a wand. She bought it from the Honeydukes trolly lady. 'Here, just... thanks for the acid pop. I know you gave it to me after you remember my birthday. So it's just fair I give you something too.'
Joel was utterly delighted. He took it gratefully. 'Thanks! I'll eat it at home!'
As usual, they went home.
Lizzy got home with her mum. She was glad to be home again. But mum told her to put the luggage aside.
'Lizzy... I know you've just got home... but...' Mum spoke, 'Beebo has passed away. The doctors say Beebo can't handle her bladder anymore... She's an old dog... So they decided it was time for Beebo to sleep in heaven...'
Lizzy's eyes widened in shock. 'D-did you bury her, mum?'
'Yes... well... in our backyard with her collar,' mum said, wanting to cry. Beebo had been with her longer than Lizzy or Robert. Beebo was basically a lovely sibling in her spirit. 'Do you want to say goodbye to Beebo, Lizzy? She is behind a tree, right where she likes to spot the squirrels.'
