The sixth year ravenclaw boys listened to the radio. They were listening to Potterwatch, a secret radio station. River a.k.a Lee Jordan, the Weasley twins' best friend, was the host of the show. There were some other segments brought up by other voices. Sometimes Joel and the others knew who they were, like Fred and Goerge Weasley in their aliases, but some of them weren't to their knowledge, like Royal or Romulus. Who were those two? They did not know.
Potterwatch was their main source of information. Disappearances, deaths, hoax revelations, unpublished news, Voldemort's rallies... and so on. It was the boys' habit, listening to the news every night. Now they had became unsusceptible.
Deaths did not faze them. Unless it had anything to do with them, they didn't bat an eye like a wind blowing in their ears, they enjoyed other normal things despite voices of horror spewing out. Sometimes, they would even do their homework with it on high volume.
One evening, Joel was practicing nonverbal technique. Nonverbal spell meant using magic without uttering incantations. He spoke it in his mind, pointing his wand at his book, trying to levitate it. Wingardium leviosa... he tried. He had to pass this if he wanted to pass this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Anthony joined his practice, taking his wand out and aimed at his book.
Today on our findings of unreleased official news. Madam Lisette Edgecombe, 36, has been found dead in Chelsea, London. She was the Chief of Floo Network Monitor. The position has been handed to Thomas Rosier, nephew of Death Eater Evan Rosier, who once worked under her.
As our source have gathered, Mrs Edgecombe...
'Edgecombe?' spoke Michael. He raised his head from his book. 'Marietta's mum?'
'Is she?' Anthony asked.
'I think she is,' said Joel. 'Her mum works--'
'Her mum works in the Ministry,' Terry spoke over Joel, which Joel did not appreciate. 'Floo network. It's her.'
'Oof...' Anthony spoke. 'Wouldn't want to see Marietta tomorrow. I can bet she'll hear it.'
Joel listened to the radio and caught that the floo network had been ruled by Death Eaters from now. 'The ministry can see through floo network? They can intercept it?'
'Yeah,' Anthony said. 'Like what you know, muggle computers can do.'
'How does it work?'
'It's complicated,' spoke Michael. 'But it's not so different to underage magic tracing. But with more visual, I suppose.'

One morning, Lizzy was in the library.
She was looking for a book that could help her understand mandrake roots for Herbology. She looked around and found it. High above in the rack, she had to point at it so it would glide out on it's own. She grabbed ahold of it. She took a seat in a long table and spent the rest of her free period after lunch to study.
Yvonne walked past towards the exit. She was holding hands with Colin Creevey. Lizzy saw it. And she was shocked. Later that day, she talked about it to Sandra. They freaked out. Excited of new gossip. Yvonne was dating Colin!
Lizzy intended to tease Yvonne right on dinner. She had just entered the Great Hall, when... Marietta Edgecombe broke a sob by her table. Cho Chang was hugging her. People in the Great Hall stared.
'What's going on?' Lizzy asked.
Sandra stared sadly. 'Her mum's dead.'
Lizzy was shocked to hear that. 'How did you know?'
