'I'm going to get in! Just watch,' Joel said in determination, holding a fork with a piece of carrot. 'I will get chaser!'

'Good luck,' said Terry, shoving mashed potato into his mouth.

'If Harry Potter can be seeker in his first year, I can do this!' Joel said. He was saying this to calm his nerves. Strong energy was jolting up and down in his core. He glanced at the seventh year Ravenclaw section. The captain was sitting there, talking to his friends. Some candidates came up to talk to him. 'Should I talk to him like what they're doing?' asked Joel, eyeing the captain like a prey.

Anthony, Michael, and Terry snorted. They found it entertaining.

'We're still little kids to them... don't expect much,' Anthony said.

'That's not helping him,' Michael said.

The captain stood up. He called up his fellow teammates to join him and left the Great Hall.

'Oh god it's happening!' exclaimed Joel, startling some third years.

Joel shoved all of his food and chewed quickly. Then he rushed away.

'We'll see you there!' shouted Terry.

Joel went away, but halted just before the open door. He turned to the hufflepuff table, stopping at the first year section. Lizzy was there, surrounded by all of her peers, bantering something Joel couldn't decipher. He tapped her shoulder. She looked at him and greeted in joy.

'I'm going to my quidditch tryout! You can come and see it, right?' Some of Lizzy's friends looked at him. 'It'll start in 15 minutes.'

Lizzy beamed. 'Okay! Good luck Joel!'

'Thanks! I'm going there now! See ya!' Joel jogged to the door.

Lizzy turned her attention to her mates. She noticed them smiling sheepishly.

'Really, Lizzy, are you sure you're just friends with him?' asked Sandra cheekily.

Lizzy rolled her eyes. 'For the love of god, Sandra, Joel is my friend and my neighbour back at home. We're close since we were about 9.'

'Sure... we believe you,' said Sebastian Obunge, a boy with dark skin, dark eyes, and black buzzcut hair, grinning mischeviously.

'Shush,' Lizzy said annoyedly. She finished breakfast quickly, and told them she'll be in the pitch.

'Wait, I'll come too!' said Markus Flint just when Lizzy had just got out of the bench. 'Can I come? I want to see what ravenclaw's quidditch tryout looks like.'

'Okay, come on.'

'I'm coming too!' said Carl McAllistor, a short boy with pale skin, brown hair, and brown eyes.

'Fine, I'm coming too,' Sandra said.

The rest of them prefered to eat their breakfast and chat more. Lizzy went with the three. Markus and Sandra were quite fanatic about quidditch. They had their own favorite quidditch teams, Chudley Cannons.

Carl was new to this whole quidditch game like Lizzy. He was a muggleborn. But he was highly interested to know more of the game. As they walked out of the castle to the pitch, Carl told them that the hype of this game was similar to a muggle football. And to Carl and Lizzy's surprise, Markus and Sandra had never heard of football.

'How can you never heard football? Don't you all have tv?' Carl asked.

'I've heard of tv,' Markus said. 'But we don't have one.'
