Sir Knight Cadogan, who took the Fat Lady's place to guard the Gryffindor entrance, was the one who let Sirius Black in. He was naive enough to open up as the killer knew the new password. Despite that he knew it was Sirius Black, he had let everyone down. It was a travesty.
People were scared. Jokes in this time was good as stale bread. Even the Weasley twins didn't joke as often as they used to, and that's saying something.
'I can't just get my lipgloss without being escorted by a prefect,' complained Yvonne. 'So tedious.'
'Sleeping on hard floor isn't helping my back,' complained Carl.
'Carl, you're thirteen, don't act like an old man,' said Sandra. 'But... yeah, I miss having my fluffy pillows to sleep too.'
'Bring one then,' said Markus annoyedly.
'You can't,' Sandra said.
'You can.'
'Yeah, you can,' said Lizzy. 'It's just a pillow, no one's going to contraband that.'
'My hairbrush got contrabanded,' said Yoko.
'...Why would you bring a hairbrush?' Lizzy asked.
'To brush my hair...'
'Do it before heading to the hall.'
'I don't have time.'
'Whatever.'
It was the new normal. Routines were strict. No one were allowed to wander the castle just for the sake of it. There were no quidditch practice. No outside wanderings. No wandering in unused parts of the castle. Everyone got stuck in this routine together. This went over for months. Until... During lunch, Dumbledore spoke over to everyone.
'We have Sirius Black captured, and is now being investigated by the ministry. Soon, Hogwarts will be back to what it was before.'
Everyone cheered on to this good news. Kids hugged their peers left and right.
'Finally!' shouted Sebastian.
All of this sounded too good to be true. It did. But just for a little while.
After several days later, the Daily Prophet wrote an article to announce Sirius Black gone. Everyone were bamboozlwd as they thought Sirius Black was over. But Dumbledore was a firm believer that Sirius Black won't be coming back anymore. How did the ministry believe that? No one knew what this meant. Even the dementors lurking around the school were gone. Joel couldn't believe that he prefered the dementors to come back, at least that would make it difficult for Sirius Black to come than to open up like free cake.
The following day, Professor Lupin, everyone's new favourite teacher had resigned. No one knew exactly, but a strange out-of-the-box rumour loomed about him, something about a werewolf or some sort. No one believed it entirely. People's believe or disbelieve was a free take. A lot of kids were sad that he left. They loved Professor Lupin. This was a blur, and now students were boarding the train for the new term holiday.
Lizzy sat in a compartment. There were Sandra, Markus, Yvonne, Yoko, and Sebastian.
'Don't suppose you lot are coming to Quidditch World Cup?' asked Markus.
'Quidditch World Cup? You all have such a thing?' asked Lizzy.
'Of course!' said Sandra, excitedly. 'It's a world event only for every four years!'
Sebastian spoke,'Countries will play against each other. I've seen the layout. First match will be the Irish vs Bulgarians. I'm rooting for the Irish!'
'No,' protested Markus, 'the Bulgarians! They're better! And Viktor Krum. He's the youngest player in history!'
