Ch. 8

Dear diary,

Today I found out what that cute boys name is-- Minho!! He's a little bit mean, but I don't think he's actually a bad person!

He's never said a single word to me, I only found out what his name is because someone called to him I the hallway. I've also come to the conclusion that he's probably in a higher grade. I don't have any classes with him and I've never seen him on any of the grade 10 charts, so he's either in 11 or 12-- I know he's older than me. Someone who is the same age as me called him hyung, so I'm really just guessing.

Anyway, enough gay ranting.

Dear diary,

I'm writing this during lunch because I really needed to get it off my chest!

This morning I wanted to get changed for gym earlier than everyone else so I left class 5 minutes before it ended, but when I got to the locker room I witnessed something crazy!! I saw this guy named Jeong-Hoon beating up one of my upperclassmen! I sped out of there as soon as possible, and I don't think either one saw me, but it was hella scary.

There was blood everywhere, and then later that day I saw that those locker room's where closed up for 'maintenance'. I'm debating whether I should tell a teacher what really happened in there...

Dear diary,

Minho talked to me! He wasn't being very nice, but I think that's still a win for me :)
When he saw me in the hallway he stopped right in front of me with this serious look on his face and said, "You're fucking short." And walked away. Then someone yelled, "Minho's claiming more properties!" As he was walking off. I don't know what that means, but I hope it's not something bad or sexual :(

I also talked to my dad today for the first time in two days. He said that he's sorry he can't be around more, but I know nothing is gonna change. He always says things like that and then stays the exact same. Ive learned not to get my hopes up now I guess...

Dear diary,

I saw Felix for the first time this year! It's been way to long. We talked about the things that changed with us, what our schools are like, and we exchanged crushes-- but I didn't tell him about the whole property thing. It really sucks that we had to change high-schools or we could have been together maybe. But speaking of the Minho thing.

I found out what it means to be someone's property! It's so gross! It means that whoever claimed you is allowed to bully you but no one else can. Minho only sometimes picks on me so I don't mind, though it bugs me slightly, but there are some people who get physically beat up after school :(

There's a rumor going around that Jeong-Hoon tortured a middle school kid in a back alley after school one day while the poor little guy was just trying to walk home. According to the rumors, the kid was in 7th grade, and is now in some type of coma. I'm really scared of Jeong-Hoon. I guess I'm glad I'm Minhos property.

There were hundreds of journal entries that Jisung had made, one for every day of the year-- but most were boring so Minho skipped over them.

"What are you reading?"

Minho nearly jumped out of his seat when he heard Chans voice come from his doorway. When did he get there..

"You can't just barge into my apartment like that!" Minho scolded his big brother.

"I just did." He laughed and pounced onto the bed trying to see what was written in the notebook Minho was reading out of.

"No-" Minho smacked it closed and held it close to his chest, "Erm, I mean, no.. this is private."

Funny how that excuse worked for Minho but not the actual owner of the book, Minho thought.

"Oohh.." Chan said disappointed, "Is it a diary?"

"As a matter of fact, yes it is." Minho put it off to the side, on his bed side table.

"I didn't know you had a diary. Is it like a form of therapy?" Chan asked laying his chin on Minho's chest and hugging him.

"For some people I guess it could be." Minho turned onto his side starting to hug Chris back.

"But for you..?"

Minho thought for a moment. "I guess so."

The younger was well aware of what a different person he was with his real friends, than with the boys at school. Here he was, cuddling with his older brother right after bullying a poor kid about a stupid notebook until he cried...
