(A/n- could not for the life of me find the actual name that I used for Mr. Han before, I hope this is something like it...)
JaeHyung didn't hate his child, no, he loved his child, but he simply wouldn't let the boy ruin his life over someone that hurt him so badly.
Yes, Jisung seemed to be loosing a bit of weight do to the fact that he refused to eat. He always made an excuse about feeling sick, but the one time he actually got him to eat anything he could barely stomach it.
It hurts to watch your child go through something like this, especially a breakup, but he couldn't let him go back to Minho, he simply couldn't.
As his father it was his job to keep Jisung safe with no one else to protect him and he was going to do just that, even if he died trying.
He loved Jisung and he had to protect him from that manipulation freak, Minho.
"It's so nice to meet up with you again, Jae. How are you feeling?" Lee Yujun gave him a hug, settling down with him in the living room for a cup of tea.
"It's been hectic I'll tell you that. I suppose Felix has been filling you in on all the details surrounding Jisung." He asked eyeing the steam pooling off of his tea.
"Yes, and I'll tell you, he's not in your favor. I was looking to get your prospective on all of this actually, because I have a feeling Felix is telling a biased story." She smiled warmly.
"Ah, of course. I'm so glad you asked; everyone always hops on Jisung's side without bothering to know what I really think." He shook his head, "I'm simply trying to protect him from Minho. You probably don't know what that boy has done to Jisung—"
"Well that's not entirely true. I've heard a few things about Minho—a lot actually. He seems to be getting better recently, right?"
JaeHyung shrugged, "I guess you could say that. I have a feeling it's all a lie though."
"You have a feeling?" She tilted her head in confusion, "What has he done to give you the perception he's simply using it as a manipulation tactic?"
"Lots of things.." he trailed off.
"Like?"
He stayed quiet not knowing how to answer. Now that it came down to it, why did he think that? "It's just his past. I don't think you can recover from being that type of person."
She nodded, taking this in, "Well I met his older brother, Bang Chan—him and Felix are somewhat of an item now—and he tells me that Minho is taking this extraordinarily harsh. Apparently he hasn't even been eating recently."
JaeHyung made a face, "Hard to trust what anyone in that family says."
"Well you dislike Minho, but you've met Chan. He looks out for Jisung like an older brother as well; a very sweet boy."
"I suppose.."
There was a beat of silence that Yujun was quick to fill, "So Felix tells me Jisung won't eat properly?"
"Oh, not at all. I tried to get him to eat some fried rice the other day and he nearly threw it up. I have a feeling the stress of all this is really getting to him."
"It's not the breakup that's messing with his head?"
"Well yes, it is. He misses Minho like he lost half his internal organs. He can barely function anymore but I'm not allowing him to go back to that boy. He's bad, bad news."
"I thought we established that you have no idea whether hes bad news. You never took the time to understand who Minho has really become, you just assume he's bad." Yujun took a sip of her tea now that it was cool enough to drink from.
JaeHyung took a deep sigh, "I've seen him in court."
"Him in court is a wonder though. He's up there protecting Jisung with his entire reputation and family connections on the line. He gave up his position of power at school for this."
"How do you know that?"
"Think about it, he was outed for being gay. If that was enough to blackmail Jisung, that must be one toxic school." She shook her head, feeling bad for the two boys, "I just think.."
"What? What do you think?" JaeHyung seemed to snap, getting annoyed. No one ever took his side.
"Jae, you should make an effort to understand and connect with Minho before you break him and Jisung up forever. I'm not sure how long either of them can last anymore.." she said it quietly with concern lacing her voice.
The man sat back in the sofa, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. "Fine."
"Fine?"
"Fine I'll do it."
"Jae you have no idea how great that is. Have a conversation with Jisung, tell him you'll at least reconsider the idea of Minho." She stood up from her seat, placing her coffee mug down.
JaeHyung did the same, going in to give her a hug.
He didn't feel great about this, but he owed Yujun at least to try. After all, she probably knew Jisung better than he did by now with all the times she took care of the boy for him.
He knew he was going to hate Minho so it was only a slight inconvenience. Then he can go back to Jisung and say that he at least tried to like him.
Maybe this could be a good thing.
