After about a week, Minho was starting to get worried. Jisung hadn't responded to or reached out to him in quite a while.

For a little bit he chocked it up to that fight with Felix, but now that Felix had said sorry and the two of them were buddy buddy again, Minho was even more worried.

Apparently Jisung hadn't added himself back into the group chats, or responded to anyone else's messages either. He had a few theories as to why.

On Monday Minho couldn't help but notice how Jeong-Hoon had kept a firm grip on Jisung's where abouts for the entire day, and then again on Tuesday.

Minho had tried to get Jisung's attention and ask him what was wrong, but the boy barely ever even looked up from his own feet. The only time he would was to look Jeong-Hoon in the eye when asked to.

Minho felt sick to his stomach watching Jisung get pulled around like a rag doll, and watching Jeong-Hoon wrap his arm around the boy to keep him still. Jisung didn't really look scared though, mostly he just kept a blank expression on his face.

Because of this new development at school, Minho couldn't help but figure that Jeong-Hoon had started to get a lot more controlling and now Jisung wasn't allowed to do certain things.

Like text his friends back.

Now at lunch Minho could barely take his eyes of Jisung. He was sitting with them now, by demand of Jeong-Hoon, and working on homework.

Jisung had learned to look directly at Jeong-Hoon when he spoke to the younger, or he would get in trouble. Trouble meant whispering something into Jisung's ear, most likely a threat.

The 4 boys usually sat at a super busy table with a bunch of other guys, mostly jocks and fuckboys. They were all 'friends' but everyone had an unspoken agreement to be scared of JinYoung and Jeong-Hoon.

Or atleast Jeong-Hoon. He was the leader of all of them after all.

Anyway, with this super busy table barely anyone noticed Jisung sitting there half the time, or when Jeong-Hoon did something to him. Jisung was basically invisible.

Jisung started rocking back and forth a little bit, kicking his feet back and forth under the table as he wrote some stuff down. Jeong-Hoon noticed it immediately, putting his hand on Jisung thigh, as if warning him to stop.

Jisung didn't hesitate to completely stop moving. Minho watched as Jeong-Hoon said something in a low voice that he couldn't hear, but judging by the boys reaction, he didn't like it.

Jisung made a face, biting his inner cheek and putting on an expression that almost made him look like he ate something bad, but subtly enough for Jeong-Hoon not to notice.

Soon after Jeong-Hoon went right back to talking with the guy beside him as if nothing even happened.

Minho's eyes traveled back to the lunch sitting in front of him, but he was no longer hungry. Not once had he seen Jisung eat food in school either, and he wondered why.

Even before eating lunch at the same table with all of them he never seemed to eat more than a few apple slices.

"Hey," Jeongin was suddenly standing behind Jisung, "Can I talk to you about that project for a minute? I had a few questions."

"No you can't." Jeong-Hoon answered for him in a low voice. The two of them talked over all the chatter at the table.

"Why not? He doesn't seem like he's doing anything important." Jeongin shrugged, standing his ground the best he could against Jeong-Hoon. Even though everyone who might see this would know it was a bad idea.

Jeong-Hoon gave him a light glare, "He's my property, not yours."

"That rule only applies to hurting him. I'm not breaking any by-laws." Jeongin said, helping Jisung from his seat, "If you excuse us for a moment."

Minho watched as the two left the cafétéria. God was he thankful Jeongin was there so save him. Maybe this would be a good time to confront Jisung as well.

He got up from his seat, telling whoever was beside him that he was going to the bathroom and then leaving the cafétéria.

He quickly found the two of them around a corner and overheard a few sentences of their conversation. He hid from the sight for a moment, only listening.

"You can't do that," came Jisungs voice, scolding the other.

"What do you mean?" Jeongin now asked.

"Talking to Jeong-Hoon that way. If you get on his bad side he will hurt you. Why do you think I keep pushing you away at school?"

"I know, but I'm not gonna let him sit there and control you like a dog. He pisses me off and he deserves to know as much. I just had to make sure you were okay."

"I am. I'm perfectly okay, he wasn't hurting me or anything."

"No, but I saw him grab your thigh, Jisung. He can't do that, he's not supposed to do that."

"Has he ever listened to the rules? I just have to let him. Soon enough I'll be fine."

Then there was silence for a while, and Jeongin said something, "Why are you ignoring all of us? Did Jeong-Hoon put you up to it?"

Jisung took a moment to respond, "I'm just playing it safe. He doesn't want me texting people about certain stuff right now."

Another pause.

Minho nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt a hand on his shoulder. When he whipped around to see who it was, Junhae was staring at him.

Minho grabbed his sleeve, quickly dragging him away from where the other two would be able to hear them talk. When they were far enough away Minho said, "What the hell dude?"

"It's rude to spy on people." Junhae shrugged, "You know you should probably talk to him."

"Who?"

"Who do you think? Obviously Jisung. Communication is key."

Minho rolled his eyes, "You wouldn't believe how hard I've tried. He really doesn't want to talk to me. I can't text him, I can't talk at school, I can't even go to his house."

"Hm. Seems like a real problem."

Neither of them said anything else, Minho narrowing his eyes, "Okay. Why are you actually talking to me right now?"

Junhae sighed, "Alright listen, I heard about the court cases."

Minho's eyes widened, "What? How? Tell me Jeong-Hoon doesn't know—"

"No, no he has no idea. As far as I'm concerned I'm the only one who knows, and I'm pretty confident about it. I got suspicious that no one was going to do anything about Jisung getting beat up, so I messaged his dad posing as a co-worker." He shrugged.

Minho had to think about that, "Okay... what about the court cases."

Junhae but his inner cheek, looking away at the ground, "Listen, I know your doing it to Jeong-Hoon and JinYoung but.. what about me..?" He asked, "I know I've never really been a good person, but I never hurt him—"

"Yeah we're leaving you out of it." He cut him off, "I have no issue with you. You don't have to worry."

"So is it possible I might get charged anyway..? Or just no."

"We aren't pressing charges against you, so there's no way for you to go to jail." Minho clarified.

He nodded, "Thanks.. that means a lot. I'm sorry there's not much I can do to help."

"Right."
