Minho pushed his face closer into his brothers chest, loving the warm feeling of comfort it brought to his body even though there was so much on his mind. It's was this warm feeling that bubbled in the center of his body that just made him feel so... good.

Lately there was so much stuff on his mind that he wasn't able to feel himself at all. Everything was so heavy on his shoulders and he was constantly tired from all the mental baggage.

Being alone sleeping, cuddled up with Chan was the only time that he truly relaxed. He loved the feeling of his fingers running through his hair, the way that he squeezed Minho just enough so he felt protected.

This was something that the two of them had done since they were young children and Minhos mother married their father.

Even before they had known eachother for long they felt like real brothers, despite the 5 year age difference. It was hard to believe that they had both grown up so much from being dumb children living in a big house.

Chris was a very successful CEO of a company and rich as fuck. Minho know he would probably never live up to Chans shadow and he had learned to deal with that.

With Chan being their father birth son and most successful son, it was no surprise that he was favored out of the two brothers. That used to bug Minho quite a bit, bit ue grew up and realized there was nothing he could do about it.

Even though Minho didn't really want to go to their fathers big business party, he still liked that he was invited as his son. It made him feel.. seen.

Speaking of that party, it was at the end of this week and he was not looking forward to it.

Their dad was talking about 'finding a girlfriend' while they were there because there would be so many other people Minho's age, but he really didn't want one because--

A) he was still trying to get himself over Jisung

B) he proffered men

And C) he didn't have time for a relationship

Actually, it's not that he didn't have time for a relationship, it's that he didn't want one. Or rather, he didn't want one with just anybody.

If he could run away to Canada with Jisung, forget their past and cut all ties with everybody they wanted to, suddenly be extremely comfortable with being gay and have at least enough money to eat food, then, and only then, would he be okay with a relationship.

He let out a soft sigh think about it. How he would love to hold Jisung in his arms as I'd nothing had ever happened between the two of them, but no.

"Minho.." Chris' soft voice floated effortlessly through the room slowly luring Minho out of his immersing thoughts.

"Mm.." he mumbled. He felt Chan sit up right on the couch they had been laying on before when they had watched a movie together. Minho's position laying on his norther got interrupted and he too had no choice but to sit up.

"I saw Jisung in the market yesterday. He was with his father." He said helping his younger brother to get comfy in his arms again.

Minho sighed. He didn't feel like talking about Jisung right now.

"I asked him about the book."

Minho's body stiffened slightly. He knew what was coming. He had never given the book back like Chris had said to do. He did say he was going to ask the next time he saw Jisung...

"I'm sorry.." Minho said quietly, "I didn't know how.. especially not after.. you know.."

Chan nodded even though Minho wasn't able to see his face, his head being rested in Chris' shoulder, "You need to give it back." He said, slightly more stern.

"I know.. maybe for Christmas." Minho muttered. Chan laughed slightly at the joke. It was getting close to that holiday though wasn't it.

The room went quiet as the two boys sat in eachothers arms, Minho slightly grasping onto Chris' forearm that wrapped around him.

"Y'know Chan..." the younger spoke up breaking the sharp silence.

"Hmm?"

"I never finished the book." He confessed. He knew it didn't make the whole situation any better, but it still made him feel slightly better about himself.

"No?" Chris asked sweeping some loose hair out of Minho's face.

"No." He confirmed, "After you found it in my bedroom I didn't continue to read it. I only got to September of 2020. At that point there was a whole year to read through still.."

"Hmm.. when did the book start?"

"January of 2020."

"That's still a lot."

"I know.."

They both fell quiet again neither of them knowing what to say next. What was there to say?

. . .

Just make it go away
