Jisung sat quietly, swinging his legs back and forth as Felix drove listening to whatever Australian radio station he had on because that was all his car seemed to have. Whenever an English came on from the early 2000's Felix would mention how it, "Shaped his childhood."
Jisung was probably a way better driver than Felix could ever be with his scattered ass brain, and he did have his license, but Jisung didn't have his own car. His father had said that he would get one by the time he was 18, but at this rate it was probably never going to happen.
They were on their way to the little get together with Jeongin, Seungmin and all of those other people from everyone else's school. Jeongin was the only person who went to the same school as Jisung that was supposed to be there.
They mentioned some other people though, like Felix and Seungmins friends Hyunjin and Changbin, and some guy name Chan and Jisung wasn't sure who else. It was being held at Chans house, he knew that. Chan was supposed to be the oldest there, and Jising wasn't sure how the rest of them knew Chan if he didn't go to school with any of them.
"You're thinking about chickening our aren't you." Said Felix turning down the radio. It was more of a statement than a question though.
"Yep." Jisung paused, "Asking for a friend, but if I jumped out of a cor moving at say.." he checked the speed dial on the dashboard, "60kmph and ran home to.. my house, how long would that take me..? And, uhm, would I survive jumping out of a car at 60kmph?"
Felix giggled, "You might break a few bones." He smiled.
"Worth it."
They both laughed, but Jisungs smile immediately faded when Felix stopped the car in front of a weirdly oversized house. "Felix.. you didn't tell me Chan was rich.." he looked over to his friend, to see that his mouth was wide open in shock as well.
"I didn't know either.." he whispered staring at the large front walkway.
It was around 4pm, and Jisung had to make it through this event all of the evening and part of the night. He would probably be scared to even breath in that house-- it looked like millions of dollars.
"Okay.." Felix said unbuckling himself, "I guess we should.. go then. You ready Jiji?" He asked looking over to his friend.
Jisung nodded, swallowing hard as he continued to stare at the obersized house. "Yeah.. ready as I'll ever be." He said quietly.
. . .
Felix did the honors of ringing the front door bell and not long after they heard heavy footsteps from the inside and a man's muffled voice yelling, "Guys, shut the fuck up, you'll scare them!" And then followed by the door opening to a friendly looking man with short blonde hair and a large figure.
"Hi, I'm Chan nice to meet you guys. I assume you're Felix and Jisung." He said with a nice smile that helped to store away Jisungs anxiety.
Then, in the back of the house someone yelled, "Changbin those are my fucking socks!" Followed by, "No! Put them down!" Chan just kept smiling awkwardly like, 😃 before letting them into the house.
"You can take your shoes off, and uhm.. don't mind the yelling.. it happens." He scratched the back of his neck while the two of them slid their runners off.
Afterwards, Chan guided them into the main living room where everyone stopped for a moment and said high. A taller man, probably the tallest, walked up up Felix and hugged him tightly, "Lixie, thank God you saved me. They were eating eachothers socks-"
"That was only Changbin!!" Seungmin yelled from the corner, "Don't you dare lump me in with the rest of them!"
"Okay okay shush!" Jeongin yelled, "This is Felix, this is Jisung," he pointed to the two of them, "This is Hyunjin, Seungmin-- but you knew that-- Chan and Changbin.. and I don't know where Minho went but oh well." He shrugged.
Jisungs attention peaked when Jeongin mentioned a Minho, but he was nearly positive that it wasn't the same Minho that gave him a boner the other day. It couldn't be.
"Hi, nice to meet you guys." Felix smiled waving. He used his elbow to nudge Jisung as if to say, 'introduce yourself'.
"Uh, I, uhm, I'm Jisung," he laughed awkwardly, "I guess you know that already-- but I, uhm, it's good to meet you.." he stuttering out feeling like an absolute dumbass. The tiny moment of silence that followed was enough to make Jisung want to jump out of the window, steal Felix's car, drive to the airport, get a last minute ticket to Yemen with the little money he had in his bank account, find an old women on the plane ride, ask her to adopt him, and live a tiny unnoticed life in the middle of nowhere with her making an unlivable wage selling apples and oranges on the streets to finally save up enough money to buy a cellphone to call his father after 9 years of no-contact to tell him that he never actually lost his virginity to Minho, it was all a lie and never to talk to him again because he was living a perfectly decent life in Yemen with an old woman, his wife that he was forced to have, and 5 children-- two boys and three girls to be exact.
"Could I use the bathroom." He said before no one had any time to say anything more.
"Oh uh.. yeah. It's just down the hall and to your right.." Chan said pointing to the hallway across from them behind the wall in the kitchen. He could barely finish his sentence before Jisung started barreling off to get our of there.
Felix sighed, watching his friend leave and took a seat on the couch. "I'm really sorry. He gets.. nervous around people a lot of the time. Give him a moment and he'll come back out."
Jeongins shoulders slumped, "Poor guy. I bet social anxiety is a real bitch."
"Watch your language!" Chan snapped.
Before long everyone was making normal conversations and getting to know Felix, if they didn't already that is.
