They had been asking Minho so many questions. Had Mr. Gwan asked this many questions to anybody else, or was it just his head playing tricks in him.
"So, Mr. Lee, if you wouldn't describe Jeong-Hoon or JinYoung as a friend, why do we have evidence of you referring the both of them as one?" Mr. Gwan questioned, his arms clasped behind his back.
JinYoung, upon being questioned, had confessed everything. He was a weak link and Minho was thankful for that, but the problem was Jeong-Hoon.
He was making it look like all of his close friends and classmates had betrayed him and come up with false allegations. His reasoning was because 'Minho was jealous that he had Jisung'.
He said the Minho had made up these lies and manipulated Jisung into thinking that Jeong-Hoon was abusing him, which he was, all because Minho was jealous.
And the worst part?
People believed him...
"For lack of a better word, sir." Minho didn't let his voice waiver like his throat wanted him to. He needed to come off as strong and precise.
"Okay, then tell me, what would you describe him as."
Mimho didn't even skip a beat, "A peice of shit."
There were a few people who laughed at this, others smiling, but Mr. Gwan wasn't having any of his shit. "I mean in relation to your conexions." He said stiffly, annoyance clearly in his voice.
Now Minho took a moment to think, "Uhm.. the enemy." It was all he could think of to describe their relationship.
"Thank you Mr. Lee, I have no farther questions." Mr. Gwan said before heading to sit down. Thank God that was the end of that.
Minho was escorted back to his seat, and he ignored as Jeong-Hoon gave him a subtle look. He was not going to punch him again. He hoped.
Now Mr. Kim called upon a witness, Junhae.
Junhae had originally said he wouldn't help, and that he shouldn't testify because Jeong-Hoon would get mad at him. After realizing that he was basically either testifying on behalf of them, or on behalf of Jeong-Hoon though, he said he would.
He decided that as long as Jeong-Hoon would be gone afterwards? Right?
Junhae sat down in the special podium and said the thing about not lying before Mr. Kim was allowed to ask questions.
"Mr. Min, how would you describe the relationship between you and Mr. Han Jisung?" He asked calmly, a sweet tone lacing his voice. Mr. Kim never seemed to be mad.
"We weren't friends, but I didn't dislike him. I tried to help him once I think, but he was scared of me. Rightfully so." He was a lot more put together than Minho had ever thought he was.
"Great. Would you say that you and Mr. Lee Minho were friends?"
He thought for a moment, "We were more of friends than either of us were with Jeong-Hoon or JinYoung, that's for sure. We were always together in that group, but we only said one or two words to each other through the day. I didn't have a problem with him though."
"Great, thank you. Would you say that Han Jisung disliked Jeong-Hoon in any way?"
"Certainly. Even before Jisung was his 'property' he always seemed on edge around him. Then when things started to get worse there was no doubt that Jisung was afraid of him."
"Did Jeong-Hoon dislike Jisung in any way?"
This one made Junhae think for a moment, "No. With all that I've seen, I'd say that all of this was kind of like a crazy messed up way of Jeong-Hoon showing his love for Jisung. There was a reason that he didn't want Minho to date him."
"Why would you say that?"
"Well he didn't like it when anyone else talked to or even looked at Jisung, not to mention the things he said or did. Him hurting Jisung was his way of manipulating him into staying."
Mr. Kim nodded, liking this response, "Was there ever a time when you felt that Jisung was in serious danger?"
Junhae nodded, "Quite a few. I was one of the two people to witness that day in December when Jeong-Hoon and JinYoung beat him up. I remember thinking 'he's gonna die' as Jeong-Hoon dragged us away so we couldn't help him. I was a coward."
Minho knew that Junhae was giving all the best answers. He was a gem to have on their side, "Why didn't you help him?" Mr. Kim asked, knowing he would have yet another good answer.
"Jeong-Hoon threatened to shoot him and us if any of us went back to save him. I figured there was a better chance he would survive if I simply left him—I mean, it was a schoolyard. Someone would find him by latest the next morning."
Mr. Kim smiled, "Thank you for sharing this with us Mr. Min, could I just ask you one more question?"
Junhae nodded.
"Has Jeong-Hoon ever done anything to hint at a sexual attachment to Jisung?"
Junhae nodded, "Of course. Besides just doing it to hurt him, I'm pretty sure all those times that he molested Jisung was actually for his own benefit, considering Jisung wouldn't let him get close to him. Jeong-Hoon figured that if he couldn't have Jisung romantically, he would just take him sexually."
