"Jisung, come down here please!" The boys father called from the downstairs portion of the house, nearly startling Jisung out of bed.

He sat there for a moment wondering if he had really just heard that. The last time Jisung had been called by his dad was a year ago. He never had anything to talk about.

Jisung slid his feet onto the floor and wobbled off to his door, which he creeked open, only to hear his father again.

"Jisung did you hear? It's dinner time." He yelled loud enough for his son to hear.

Now this was even more strange. Jisung was often the one to cook dinner and simply deliver it to his dad in his office, but now his father was the one cooking it?

Not only that, but it seemed like he was actually going to sit down and eat with Jisung...

"Sungie?" The voice called from downstairs.

Finally the boy shuffled down the stairs and turned the corner into the dining room, where his father was setting down two places for them.

"Ah there you are. I was hoping to catch a meal with you." He said, as if that wasn't completely out of the blue.

Jisung nodded slightly and took a seat across from his dad. "Is this about the other night..?" He asked wearily.

"The night where you claimed to be gay?" He asked looking up from his plate.

The boy nodded again, making sure to he careful with his every move. He didn't want to upset his dad, especially when he'd just started opening up slightly.

"Yes. It is about.. that." He cleared his throat heavily.

The two started to eat in silence, as neither one wanted to actually start the conversation with one another. This was just as awkward as it seemed.

The only sound that could be heard was silverware clinking against the ceramic plates, and slight sounds of chewing.

Every once and a while they would awkward glance at eachother, hoping that someone would just say something. Jisung absolutely wasn't going going be the once to speak though.

Finally his father managed to say something. "Could it be a phase do you think? Maybe.."

Jisung bit his lip slightly, shaking his head, "I really don't think so Appa.. I've liked men since the 5th grade.." he admitted, setting his silverware down.

"Ah.."

Jisungs lips formed a straight line as he debated whether he should say more or not.

"Well if it isn't.. it would be a large change.. but I'm not going to disown you or anything.." he nodded stiffly.

Jisung didn't turn his head, but looked over at his father through the corner of his eye, and nodded. "That means a lot to me.." he whispered, barely audible to the other.

"I'm just doing what I think your mother would say.." he responded with before clearing his throat.

Jisung nodded. "It's really not a phase." He said once more, just to make it clear.

"It might not be.. yeah.."

"Not 'might not', it just isn't. I'm telling you Appa, nothing about this is a phase." He cleared up.

His father didn't respond, but pushed his plate further away from him to signal he was done dinner.

"I can uhm.. I can clear the plates." Jisung smiled awkwardly and got up from the table where he was sitting. He just wanted to so that he didn't have to be there for any longer.

He grabbed the two plates and cups, stacked and one on top of the other and walked away into the kitchen.

While he was away, his phone happened to buzz with a text from Minho. The screen lit up with his profile and message.

As the man looked at it, he couldn't help but pick the phone up and log in, knowing his sons password and all. It was just his birthday.

He quickly opened messages and read the text..

Minnie

We're going to my apartment to do it on Tuesday
I'll tell you more later.

Jisung soon returned to the dining room, realizing that the phone in his father's hand was his. "Why do you have my phone." He asked, startling his father who hadn't heard him come back.

"You got a text. Who's Minnie?" He asked.

"Oh.. it's not important." Jisung tried to take the phone, but his dad held I away.

"They say, 'We're going to my apartment to do it on Tuesday I'll tell you more later'." He looked up at his kid, both of them realizing how bad that sounded.

"It's no big deal Appa.. I'm just hanging out with him once." Jisung said trying to explain.

His dad raised an eyebrow, "But you realize what this sounds like?" He asked reading over the text again.

"Yes, but I swear he means hanging out." Jisung said.

"What does he mean 'to do it'? What's going on between the two of you?" He asked looking back once more.

"Nothing, it's not what this sounds like."

"Look, all of these other texts are here too." He scrolled up, "'you really like me', 'I'll beat you up', 'fuck you'? Jisung he sounds like hes not a great person."

"Thats just how he texts," Jisung finally snatched the phone from his dad, "It's fine, I'm telling you.."

With that he got up and hurried back into his room. Why was his father nosey like that?
