"Yeah I am Hyung."
Namjoon was really bad at lying. Or maybe Taehyung was good at catching liars. His dragon eyes were helplessly staring at Taehyung. He needed that help.
"Well, would you help me with one thing Taehyung?"
"Be your wingman for Jisoo?"
A common request from both sides. Be the wingman. Taehyung would gladly do so. After all he's in good terms with both sides. And they already like each other, they just need a push.
He patted Namjoon's back. Who was apparently choking on his own words. Giving a cheeky boxy smile,
"Anything for my Namjoonie Hyung.""Lalisa, please? Just do me this one favour."
How the hell can someone ignore those big, doe eyes. That too with lips upturned into a pout. He looked so innocent and cute.
Lisa felt guilty. If the magic didn't post that clarification of Jungkook and her dating. Then Jungkook wouldn't have been bombarded by questions. But why didn't he deny? Why didn't he just say no to all these allegations?
Truth to be told, he just couldn't. What if, if he had denied dating her, the whole school would start hating her and calling her names. They would term her as a liar, attention seeker. Lalisa Manoban was none of that. She was the sweetest girl he had ever met in his whole life. So he went with the flow. Maybe she had her reason to claim him as hers.
But now? Now the whole campus was shipping them. The perfect couple. The bad boy and the bad girl. A match made in hell.
Lisa, didn't have a single damn clue about this whole situation. But since she isn't dating Jeon Jungkook, shouldn't she just tell that? That's when Jungkook came in the scene. If Lisa reveals now that she lied before. She won't be the only one going down as a liar, attention seeker. She would drag down Jungkook as well. Too much to risk for. He was the team captain, good in studies secretly, rode a bike, had piercings and tattoos, always in detention, voice of an angel. A lie wouldn't matter much, would it? But a lie creates room for the other. Always.
"Jungkook..."
"Please? Just one favour Lalisa. I swear we would just be a make believe couple. This way we could become friends as well. Please Lalisa?"
Lisa bit her lips. Fidgeting with her fingers. The second felt long enough. Jungkook stood there. Shoulders slumped. Why did he think about her and lie for her sake?
"No hard feelings just an act? Okay? Just friends?"
"I'm a man of my word Lalisa.""Hoseok Sunbaenim?"
Sierra came across a beam of sunshine. She needed it. A little warmth. Jungkook and Lisa had things to sort out. Jimin and Rosé had decided to practice dance together. Jennie was assigned a team to work with for the play. Research, designs. All was on Jennie Kim. Then basketball. And Jisoo didn't show up today. No reason why. So it's safe to say that she was all alone today. And now she bumped into the brightest ray of sunshine. Jung Hoseok.
His heart shaped lips parted into a bright smile. One bright enough to light up the darkest ever room.
"Hey, don't call me sunbaenim, Sierra-ssi."
"Then you have to stop calling me Siera-ssi."
They both exchanged a smile. Sierra would kill for such a cool friend. And Hoseok? Sierra was such a nice girl to befriend. She was friendly and artsy. They had similar tastes.
"Okay. Where are your friends though?"
"They are a bit busy on their own."
"Too bad. Wanna hang out with my dudes for a bit?"
Hoseok saw Sierra's eyes light up. Then the next moment all he saw was two crescents and a bright gummy smile. No wonder Jungkook claims her to be his twin. She was so adorable.Sierra was used to cold. But not this much. Not even a single eye contact? She felt the strings of her heart twist. Taehyung was just fine during rehearsals. He even was so natural. Then what now? Why did he leave the very moment he felt her presence? Maybe he had something important. Maybe.
Namjoon watched her eyes fade.
The amber eyes didn't hold the joy it once did when she stepped inside. He scooted near her, gifting her a smile.
"Taehyung can be a bit weird sometimes..."
"Namjoon Sunbaenim..."
"Sorry to cut you off, but you can drop the Sunbaenim."
Sierra smiled, this man radiated comfoet and wise energy. He radiated an aura only found in books.
"Namjoon Oppa, the thing is I got a bit disappointed. Honestly. I thought I knew him from somewhere. And he had seen me at my worst. I'm sure you've heard about the ruckus my mother created the other day. And he had calmed me down at that time. I thought that we have created a bond. But now that he ignored me, I guess I was wrong. Things aren't going my way these few days. It feels suffocating. As if everything around me changes and I don't. I can't focus on my paintings. Then the drama. I'm termed as a punk. It's just... I don't feel like myself..."
Namjoon side hugged her, patting her back. Sometimes a hug works far bwtter than an "It'll be okay."
Namjoon's dimples flashing out,
"You wouldn't mind having 6 older brothers would you? Like 7 guardian angels?"Dear You,
I really wanna see you again like the old times. I can't keep seeing you just once. But you know, if I face you twice. You'd figure me out and that way the mystery that pulls you in and keeps you awake would flicker away. I won't be as mysterious as I am now for you. You won't wait for me any longer. I'll just keep reaching out to you like a fool. But you won't find the mystery which held you in place. I'm sorry to hurt you. I know I'm wrong. I know you won't leave me. That's what my heart keeps blabbering. But how do I claim my heart as the winner yet stay a fair judge? This irrational fear keeps killing me. I can't show you this run down part of me. But I promise you, I'll gather up enough courage to stand in front of you for the rest of my life.
Till then, will you wait for me?
Yours Truly,
The boy who you wait for
