The wind was whistling. The sun sparkled and the sparrows sang. Food never tasted better and flowers never smelt nicer.
Taehyung had a watermelon in his grasp and a shopping bag in his hand. A melona popped inside his mouth. His shoulders touching her. She also had shopping bags and melona. They could not not buy the groceries, that too on a sale coupon. There was this calm and warm feeling. A domestic softness. Buying eggs and making cakes. Washing dishes getting the scales off of the fishes. Folding clothes with a neat crease. It was something truly, unbelievably soft.
It was a good day. It had been a good week. The changes that occured to them were barely noticeable and everyone was alive. They were anxious, but nothing ruined the mood for them.

Kim Jennie was glowing like the old times. Healthy blush on her honey skin and her mandu cheeks. Her white hair on full display. She chose her best tweed Chanel skirt and jacket set. High pumps and headband. Her cat eyes more emphasised with makeup and her rose petal like lips looked ravishing. With a chanel purse and the chanel perfume sprayed on her neck. She was off to a date. A date with Kim Jong-in.
She texted him before leaving,

Are you ready for this?

Always ready for you.

She yelled from the doorway,
"I'm leaving."
"Take a guard with you Ruby Kim. I can't trust you."
A tiny thorn through her heart. She saw how relaxed her mother's face was. As if it was normal for her to not trust her own daughter.
Jennie jad grown a thicker skin by now. She pulled out a smile, very formally speaking,
"That won't be needed. Kim Jong-in-ssi, is here to pick me up."
"How do I know it's Kim Jong-in and not Min Yoongi?"
"Fine, ask him in for tea."
Jennie rolled her eyes. Hiding her tears behind a very bitchy ecpression. It broke her heart. How could the curse take so much from her?
Mrs. Kim quipped, getting back to her work,
"No need. I saw the security cam. Just go on and date that guy. Ruby Jane don't cause any trouble. This alliance will benefit the business."
Jennie scoffed, one side of her lips going up. Stance relaxed and eyes dark. She hoarsely remarked,
"What if it doesn't? Are you gonna trade me off to some other company?"
Mrs. Kim walked towards her with a smile on her face. She gently traced her face,
"Jennie Ruby Jane Kim, you are pretty."

Jungkook had grown tired of staying inside. Besides it was too much of a nice day to stay inside. With Gureum and Bam's leashes in his hands, Mrs. Jeon almost cried. As if her son was back to being himself again. She patted her son's head, kissing his forehead,
"Bloom like the flower you are my lovely son."
The thing about Bam and Gureum are that they were true Jeons. As energetic as Jungkook. Andrenaline rushing inside his veins. He giggled at his puppies. He panted, getting on his knees. Rubbing Gureum and Bam,
"Bam-ie, Gureum-ie, you guys are making my heart race so much buddies."

Lisa had an arm around BamBam's little sister. Their was this feeling of fulfillment inside her. Lisa smiled, breathing in a warm breath of fresh air. Nothing wrong had happened but minor things. Terribly minor things that didn't affect her flow of life. She knew it was the same case for everyone back in Korea. Somewhere inside her heart, it bugged, why did it only occur when she left? Why only after there were so many fatalities? But she didn't think about it much. She didn't want to stain this happy feeling. Jungkook still haven't picked her phone, nor did he reply. But her only satisfaction was that he saw every text. This was toxic. This was wrong of her. But for some odd reason it made her happy. Finally, it was settling.

Jong-in smiled, staring at the road. His hands moving on the steering wheel. Jennie was still a bit uncomfortable around him, but she can't keep silent. She tinily quipped,
"Jong-in-ssi, thank you."
Jong-in smiled. Pain and melancholy etched against his eyes. His hands still on the gear and steering wheel, he cocked his eyebrow,
"Why Jennie-ssi?"
Jennie toyed with her fingers. Jong-in couldn't tell if it was embarrassment or coyness on her face. But whatever it was, it was beautiful. She shyly murmured,
"You know... All this."
He laughed. His laugh was gorgeous and soft and sincere. He was a human that deserved love. Jennie felt a warmth. She had found a friend in him.
He parked the car right at the airport gate. Holding the car door open for her, he escorted her towards the gate. He told her with a smile,
"Don't thank me Jennie-ssi. I just did what should've been done for the greater good. Let's just both say, I was the medium that the universe chose to execute this..."
Jennie squeaked interrupting him mid sentence. He followed Jennie's gaze, smiling tiredly as his eyes gazed upon the man of her dreams. Min Yoongi. He let go of her hand stepping back a bit, continueing where he left off,
"Jennie-ssi, you love Min Yoongi-ssi more than their are flowers on this planet earth. I couldn't just come in between you two. Tsk. Your parents didn't see the possibilities and prosperity your love could have brpught for them. All because they were blinded by rage and ego. But eitherways, if you get caught, you are dead meat. You two have to be safe, board my private jet ASAP. Just stay low for somedays in Jeju. Get married and be happy. I wish the warmest things to you and Min Yoongi-ssi. It was a pleasure meeting you, Kim Jennie-ssi."
"You too, Kim Jong-in-ssi."
Jennie smiled, shaking his hands. Yoongi snaked a arm around her waist bowing to Jong-in out of gratitude. As they walked away and their silhouettes decreased, a lone tear slowly tiptoed out of his eyes. He smiled,
"Kim Jennie-ssi, I wish you all the happiness. You are lovable and loved, too breathtakingly gorgeous and you deserve the wish. Next life, I wish to meet you before it's too late. Next life I wish to fall in love with you before you fall for Min Yoongi-ssi. Next life, I want you next to me."
