He sighed. How messed up their lives were. She had lost the glint in her eyes. Ever since that day with Jungkook. She didn't call her girls. She didn't make extra cookies for her Oppas. And she only ever talked with Taehyung as they lived under the same roof. Taehyung's parents wanted them married, but they both knew they weren't ready yet. Marriage isn't just two hearts merging. Marriage is split bills and knowing how to file income tax. Marriage is being there for each other even when you fight. Marriage is knowing how to fix light bulbs and leaked taps. Marriage is a responsibility that, if taken willingly, is sweet.
He silently tip-toed behind her. Trying to even breathe as quietly as possible. He slowly snuck his arms around her waist. Tightly holding her close to him. His chin on the crook of her neck. He whispered,
"M'lady?"
"Yeah?"
"Something's bothering you. I'm all ears Mademoiselle, if you want to say something."
Her shoulders softened. She started taking in his warmth. A lump in her vocal cords,
"It's just... I was thinking of Jungkook and Lisa. Not just them, but also, Jennie Unnie and Yoongi Oppa. Namjoon Oppa and Jisoo Unnie. And us. Taehyung, what happens if we end? I don't want us to end. I want to hold your hands, as promised. I want to be by your side forever. I want you by my side forever. You don't know how much I want you to stay. I can't even find enough words to describe it. But you have seen my heart, haven't you? You know right?"
He cupped her face in his palms. Pecking her nose with a tiny boop. He whispered,
"Of course my Juliette. Everything will be alright."
Sierra giggled. Her eyes fluttering close. He was picking her pronunciation of Julliette. He kept on calling her while mixing and matching between the korean pronunciation and her slightly french-esque and english-esque pronunciation. It sounded adorable. It had a touch of love in it. A love only for her.
He giggled back.his cheeks fluffing up. His gums out as his mouth was shaped like a box. He was one of a kind. He took out his phone and played some music. "Dove l'amore" by Cher. He cheekily smiled,
"Shall we m'lady?"
Sierra smiled back. With all her heart. And that's exactly where he lost his heart. He gently pulled her closer by her waist. Her arms wrapped around his neck. Her pelvis against his. Both of them swayed with the music. Giggling, as blood rushed to tehir cheeks. Both of them danced to the rhythm. Their hearts pacing. Taehyung twisted and turned her around, lifting her up and holding her gently. Twirling her around, keeping her close. He was good at it. Sierra didn't get to see anything, her eyes were completely crunched up due to smiling. All she could do is feel. Feel his hands and his warm breath hit her supple skin. His scent was driving her crazy. They both were dangerously close to one another. He hummed along, with his low and deep register,
"There is no other, there is no otehr
No other love can take your place
Or match the beauty of your face
I'll keep on singing till the day
I MARRY you away with my love song
With my love song."
Sierra giggled,
"It's 'CARRY', not 'MARRY', silly."
"Nope, I meant to say Marry, my Juliette. Cause one day you'll walk down the aisle, and I'll be awestruck of you, in the white dress. I'll put a ring on you and you'll put a ring on me. And in front of the whole world we shall kiss. You'll have a bouquet in your hands, and I'll have your hands in mine. The whole world would know, who I belong with. And I'll place my all in you. Anyone who shall look me in my eyes would know your name. I'll marry you, my Juliette."
And at that moment, Sierra didn't care. She slowly leaned in, not daring to break eye contact. He smiled, lowering her head a bit. Lifting her up by her waist, gently. And then making her stand on his feet. He held her by her waist, so that she doesn't fall. She kissed his nose gently and abrubptly. Suppressing her giggles, she said,
"I love you my Romeo. I swear on the heavens, I, Jeong Aera or Sierra Juliette Jeong, take you, Kim Taehyung, to be my husband, to hold you in my arms forever, no matter what arises, until death do us part. And this is my solemn vow."
He chuckled, keeping up with her, he said,
"I, Kim Taehyung, swear on the heavens to take you, Jeong Aera or Sierra Juliette Jeong, as my wife, to always be there for you in times of hardships, melancholy, disaster and everything you may feel, until parted by death. And this is my solemn vow."
They both smiled, from ear to ear. Theor laughter overpowering against the music. They said in unison,
"Now I pronounce you as Man and Wife..."
Sierra whispered the latter part,
"Now, you may kiss the bride."
"Gladly."
They both leaned in. Sierra cupped his face in her hands. Matching lips, smiling in between. As if they had their own wedding. As if they had reached the peak of happiness.
Jin had his eyes lowered. No one had ever seen him so tensed up. The woman, possibly in her fifties, took a puff out of her cigarette. Her hair in a perm, she looked effortlessly elegant. Her eyebrows cocked up,
"Seok-Jin, is what Ji-yoon saying the truth? Did your friend actually manipulate Jisoo-ssi?"
"I-I..."
"Seok-Jin, don't hide someone else's crimes. Jisoo and Namjoon-ssi both have commited a murder. They should be punished for their deeds."
"Eomma, no!"
Seokjin stood up. His back straight, looking directly into his mother's eyes. The veins at the back of her neck popping up. His fists balled up,
"Eomma, no one can convince me to give out my friends. Whatever they are, I am not going against them. And that's my final word."
