A warm feeling tingling up his heart to his lips. A boxy smile on his well sculpted cold face. His eyes and nose scrunched up. A lunchbox, a letter and her love.
It was his first day at any job he has ever done. Of course Sierra would take the extra effort of waking up early, preparing him Bibimbap with a generous side of Banchans. And a few packets of chocopie.
His long fingers unfolded the light mauve pice of paper. Small, elegant cursive letters with some letters a bit rounder than the the rest. Maybe her goal was to write it with blue ink, but guess she ran out. Blue pencils work just as good though. His lips moving silently as he precisely read every word. His sharp eyes gliding from word to word.
Dear Kim Taehyung,
The first day at a job is no less than sitting for your college exams. So, I thought of packing this lunch for you. I did what I could. It's not the best thing, but it will keep your small tummy warm. Modelling can be pretty tiring. But I trust you, my alien. You'll nail it like a pro. Have the choco pies and bibimbap for now, I'll treat you to BBQ this weekend. Sounds like a deal? Hwaiting Hwangjanim!
Yours truly,
Your Juliet Capulet
He reread the letter several times. The staircase felt like a heavenly place to be. He wanted to be all alone, surrounded by her love and care. The lunchbox on his lap. Chocopie crumbs hanging loosely on the corner of his thin lips. A smile and the golden glow on his face that he never wants to get rid of.
Jungkook pretended not to notice her. He knew she was here intentionally. She never has anything to do this late. Besides isn't it too obvious? Her standing right opposite the gate Jungkook steps out of after his practice? He isn't going to notice her. He'll just walk past by her. He won't fall weak for her again. But again, how can he not? Long limbs, doe eyes, plump lips. His eyes widened, as he felt his feet stuck on the ground. Her hair was blonde again.
"Jungkook-ssi."
Lisa couldn't gulp down her tears any longer. It was getting harder and harder to hide her emotions each second. She bit her bottom lip. Longing to run up to Jungkook and hug the hell out of him.
"Lisa-ssi?"
And that was all she needed. Tears running down her big doe eyes, then her soft cheeks. She ran to his arms, catching him a bit off guard. She wrapped her arms around his tiny waist. Burrowing her face into his well built chest. Tears leaving a patch on his white t-shirt. She sobbed,
"Why Jungkook-ah? Why did you do that?"
"Do what, Lisa-ssi?"
Lisa rose her head. Her teary doll eyes meeting his. Her lips upturned, nose scrunched. Her fists balled up, softly hitting him,
"Why did you never tell me Jungkook-ah? Why did I get to know from Hoseok Oppa? Why did I need Sierra's help to find out? Why was BamBam the one to scold me into understanding? Why didn't you tell me Jungkook-ah? Why didn't you tell me that you truly love me?"
He gently got ahold of her fists, tugging her closer. He leaned in. His eyes looking straight into her soul,
"Really Lalisa? What would you have done if I told you? You would have just toyed with my feelings. Just like you did after you kissed me. We were just an act, remember? To you, I was just an act. And have I never let you know? Really? Have you never felt anything when I wrapped my arms around your waist and glared the fuck out of anyone that stared at you for more than 3 seconds? How bout when I held your hands when you were scared to get on that rollercoaster? Or remember how I snuggled you up in my arms when you felt down? Did you not get it why I chose you to tell my secrets, that not even Sierra or my Hyungs know? Actions speak louder than words, Lalisa Manoban. Actions do. Just like how you broke me everytime you let go of my hand after the crowd had passed. How you broke me when you broke the kiss and told me it was just to please the audience. How you broke me everytime you mentioned, we are just an act."
"Then let me fix my fucking mistake."
She spoke through gritted teeth. Pulling him in, by his collars. Crashing her soft lips on his. As a natural reflex, his eyes closed as is under a spell. His hands found her waist. As if the time had stopped.
Rosé tapped her foot on the ground. Arms crossed against her chest. Her eyes going back and forth, left and right. Searching the one and only Park Jimin.
A hat, a long coat, wide legged trousers, chunky sneakers and a simple cropped top inside. But what made her stand out was her hair. Her hair had finally changed. To a delightful shade of pink. But the thing about change is, that it's hard to cope with. Like really hard.
Rosé had finally gotten used to her long, luscious, raven locks. And now she has to adjust to her bubblegum locks. But what worries her is that, let's say, her got used to her pink hair again, what next? It will change again. She'll have to fight the same battles again. Then again it eill all change. Just like how her career path has changed, how her parents have changed and... Alice has changed.
Jimin was late again. What was taking him so long? Why can't he always be with her? And hold her hands? And assure her that he'll stay forever? Doesn't he know how many strings Roseanne Park got attached towards him?
A small frame. A white chanel sweater, a beanie, jeans and a sunglass. As if trying to hide a surprise. A surprise only for Park Chaeyoung. His signature smirk at the corner of his plump lips. How would she react? When she gets to know what her lover, Park Jimin had done for her? So that she won't get insecure? So that she could feel like she isn't the only one changing. So that she won't be the only one with pink hair.
