It was already harsh on her. She was not in her best state. Even though Taehyung insisted her not to accompany him to the funeral, she was too ill for that. Panic attacks, hallucinations, fainting. But she just couldn't betray her friends. She brought with her a big bouquet. A bouquet bigger than her. She wore a black dress, that reached to her ankle. Her unusually boney physique poking out. She wore a veil to hide her paper white, pale face. She wore gloves and jewelleries.
Taehyung had his arms wrapped around her tiny waist. Jungkook's parents decided to hold the funeral back in Busan. And Lisa's family wanted her's to be in Thailand. So they decided to hold a one for the two souls, in Seoul. Seok-jin, Hoseok, Sierra and Taehyung arranged it. They were the only ones left.
He kept Sierra close. He could only imagine how she felt. He had lost most of his Hyungs and only dongsaeng. But she had lost her all. Her family, her friends and everything.
Her eyes looked scary, her jawbones prominently sticking out. She felt hazy and faint and burnt out. She rustily mumbled,
"Kim Taehyung..."
He moved his ear closer to her lips, as she was that inaudible. He couldn't hear her almost. His heart throbbed with fear. She was dangerously losing herself. She whispered,
"Leave me... Please."
He kissed her temples, gently. As if she would break,
"I love you."
"I'm not kidding, Kim Taehyung. Leave me. For your own good. Did you not see the fate of all those... All those that I loved and loved me back?"
He kissed her twice. On her temples. He took her warm scent. His embrace got tighter,
"I still love you. Forever and even after that."
"Stop! Please stop!"
She screamed. A terribly faint one. The ones next to her could barely hear it. She broke out into tears midways, sniffling,
"I can't see you in a casket. I can't be at your funeral with a bouquet. Please... Kim Taehyung... Break up with me."
He held her closer, raspily asking,
"Then why don't you do it? Huh? I am not leaving you Juliette. I would rather die for you. I wouldn't mind one bit. But knowing that your heart is beating, and I cannot hear it beat... That would be worse than death. I would rather swallow needles than let go of you. I will not leave you. I love you, and that is not changing."
He kissed her fluttering eyes. Gently, he took hold of her hand. Guiding her frail body towards the twin caskets. He gulped down, what felt like blood, whispering in her ears,
"Bid farewell, my Juliette."
She leaned a bit. Her body breaking, from the lack of sleep. It ached, everywhere and anywhere. She kneq she was bleeding, only it didn't meet anyone's eyes. She whispered, only so quietly,
"Jeon Jungkook, Lalisa Manoban, good night."He waa worried for her. Too much. He was thinking of semding her to stay with Hoseok's mother. He has to go out for work and stuff. And no way can she be alone.
He got some snacks, Ramyeon and cola for her. She needs food to go on. As he walked out of the store, into the parking lot, an eery voice called him,
"Greetings, Kim Taehyung-ssi."
It ran chills down his spine and his hair at the back of his neck stood up. He shrugged, harshly saying,
"Pardon?"
"Fix your tone, kiddo. You don't want to end up as Lalisa, Jisoo or Jennie. Or maybe like Wooshik, Seo-Joon, Hyung-Sik and Sung-Hwan."
He turned around in a bolt. As if he was struck by lightning. Eyes widened, mouth agape. His face went pale, he hoarsely barfed,
"Why are you here?"
The man scoffed, raising an eyebrow, he eerily cackled,
"Now that I have your attention..."
"YOU CAN'T TAKE AWAY MY LADY FROM ME, YOU FUCKING BASTARD!"
He fumed. All the emotions from the past few days lashing out. He looked threatening, as his veins at the back of his neck popped out. His face looked red and his eyes looked strained. The dwarf only chuckled. He scratched his brows in a way that made Taehyung more disgusted. He switched to a daegu accent, as if mimicking Taehyung almost,
"People usually forget stuff when they have a lot on their plate. It's alright. I just wanted you to go out of the picture. You were never involved with these. I don't want to hurt you. If you stay, you'll end up like your sister."
"Did you warn Jungkook or Yoongi Hyung or Jimin or Namjoon Hyung?"
"No."
"Then why me, why do you want me to abandon my Lady?"
"Taehyung-ah, you are a good kid. The others didn't have a way out. You still have one. Leave the girl."
"Do I have a way out, or do you just know that I'll save her? Is that why you want me out of the picture?"
Those hideously horrifying eyes stared Taehyung down. It was a task for him to look Taehyung in the eye, but he still did. He smirked, as hus wrinkly, digusting skin folded,
"You are stubborn, I see. I warned you Kim Taehyung."He got in the car with a certain hastiness on his feet. He gently placed the snacks on her lap, as if it would hurt her. He fastened her seatbelt. Sierra was so weak, that it took her all the strength in her body to raise her eyes and ask him,
"Did... Did something happen?"
He shifted the gear. The car speeding out of the parking lot. He tried reassuring her,
"Don't worry, my Juliette."
"You ask me not to 'worry', not 'it was nothing'. Tell me, Kim Taehyung-ah, what is it?"
Taehyung didn't look her in the eye. But even if he did, she wouldn't have seen through him. Her eyes were too tired to see clearly. He tried, this time in his most genuine voice,
"I was just worried about leaving you alone for too long."
