Next day morning Anokhi woke up to find hot chocolate by her bed.
Shaurya- Anu! Good morning. Tum chahe aur thodi der rest karlo. Mein Mimi ko ready karwa dunga.
Anokhi- Nhi mein kar lungi.
Shaurya- Anu trust me. I won't repeat my mistakes. I promise.
Anokhi- Hmm. But mein ek aisi aadat nhi dalna chahti jiska chutna lazmi ho.
Shaurya- Nhi hoga. 50-50 responsibility hogi Anu! I promise. Ek last mauka.
Anokhi- Theekh hai.
She drinks the hot chocolate and lies down in the bed and goes off to sleep.
Devi- Kya hua Shaurya Anokhi abhi tak nhi aayi breakfast karne ke liye? Haan.
Shaurya- Maa woh thodi thaki hui thi toh maine hi kahan rest karle.
Aastha- Tabiyat toh theekh hai naa?
Shaurya- Haan maa. Theekh hi hai. But I think meri wajah se uspar ghar ki responsibility zyada ho gyi. Toh isliye shayd tired hai. Isliye kuch dino tak cheeze mein sambhal lunga.
Tej- Tu kuch mat sambhal. Bas usse sambhal jaake. Woh kabhi beemar toh nhi padti.... Khair tu jaa abhi uske paas. Aur dekh usse kuch chahiye hoga toh bata dena. Office jayegi toh driver se keh deta hoon chodne ke liye. Khuddar hai but yeh sab nhi sunoonga aaj mein. Bas jayegi toh driver ke sath. Bas! Aur koi tang nhi karna usse.
Kanchan- Ji. Mein uske liye lunch ke sath juice de deti hoon.
Anokhi gets ready but Shaurya asks if he can drop her. She refuses and goes with driver. In evening she picks Mimi up and is back.
Shaurya- Anokhi mein pick up kar leta naa.
Anokhi- Tumhe pata bhi kitne baje, kahan se pickup karna hai?
Shaurya- Anokhi tum bata deti! Anu mauka toh do!
Anokhi- Chalo Mimi. Snacks karenge. Fir kya kya hua aaram se batao.
Devi- Tune kya kia hai Shaurya! Anokhi kabhi aise nhi karti hai. Ek toh thakan hai usse upar se tune kya kia? Kyu jhagda karta hai bechari se. Ek toh itna kaam rehta hai usse. Uske office mein uska boss leave pe hai. Saara kaam bechari sambhao rhi hai. Upar se tu bhi naa!
Shaurya- Kya?
Devi- Tumhe nhi pata? Kabse jhagad rha hai? Jhagad leta but ek baar puch toh leta uske life mein kya chal rha hai.
Shaurya realizes he has been harping about his work and issues but he had no idea about her work. It was a Blackbox to him. He assumed work was not much for her to be able to care for Mimi as well. And yet she had wanted the baby! Knowing from the last few days that Shaurya was not doing anything for their home she still wanted it. It meant so much to her and he hadn't even let her grieve about it. He should talk about it. He could not lie he was not just interested in having a baby. He would rather channel his energies to be a better father to Mimi and a better husband to Anokhi.
Devi- Dimag mat chala. Mooh chala ab. Uske sath jakar baith aur puch usse uske din ke baare mein. Abhi yeh bhi mujhe hi sikhana padega haan?
Shaurya- Badi maa. Khair chalta hoon.
Mimi comes running.
Mimi- Bad papa. Aap Anu maa ko rulate ho! Bad papa! Bad ladoo.
She starts to hit him.
Shaurya- Anu maa ro rhi hai?
Mimi- Yes!
Shaurya goes to her and she quickly hides her tears.
Shaurya- Anu! Sorry. Ro mat. Please!!!! Anu meri jaan... Is it about the baby? Anu if it is so important to you we can have it. Anu please rona mat.
Anokhi- No. It is about you. I miss you!!!! Aadat jo gyi thi tumhare pyaar ki aur tumhare saath ki.
Shaurya- Anu!
Anokhi- It's not like I can move on....so easily. From you being away from me!
Shaurya- Anu! I am sorry.
Anokhi turns her face away.
Shaurya- Anu! Mera Anu shona baat nhi manega?
Anokhi- Shaurya? Aapka shona? Aap miss nhi karte apne shona ko!
Shaurya- Anu!
Anokhi turns away from him and goes for her work. Shaurya knows that she was hurting inspite of the tough exterior that she put in front of him. Shaurya was thinking of how to get though to her.
Anokhi- I am thinking of how to get through to you!
Shaurya- Me too! I mean you don't want to listen.
Anokhi- Yes I am struggling to listen or see. I know you love me. But I am so used to your silence by now that I can't seem to aclamatize to what you say. It seems like a blur. It seems distant. Nostalgic but distant. I really want to listen though.
Shaurya- I really want you to hear but also to hear what you have to say. And I haven't done both since long. I am bursting to hear and to be heard but there is only silence. And I am sorry I brought you to this quiet place. I never imagined our shadi to be a quiet place. That we could reach there. But we can listen and speak and share.
Anokhi- As long as you keep throwing words and love at me. As long as you don't grow tired of our silence. And I don't grow tired of missing our chatter!
Shaurya- We won't! I love you jaan. Always have but forgot to see you. I promise to never stop looking at you.
Anokhi- Never?
Shaurya- Never!
