Isang bunting hininga ang binitawan ko at muling isinuyod ang aking paningin sa mga tao sa paligid ko bago nagpatuloy sa aking salita.
"Family is not just defined by being blood related or by having the same genes. Hindi lang ito nababase sa dugong nananalaytay sa mga ugat natin. Hindi lang ito makikita sa pagkakahawig natin dahil sa mga laking ipinasa sa'tin ng sting mga ninuno."
Saglit akong huminto at tumitig sa dash- C bago muling magsalita.
"Sometimes, a family is when your hearts are connected as one. Just like how I consider my friends and dash- C. They proved to me na hindi kailangan na magkakadugo kami para pahalagahan at mahalin ang isa't isa. They made me realize na sila ay matatawag kong pamilya."
Ibinaling ko naman ang tingin ko sa lalaking siyang nakahuli ng mailap kong puso.
"I was so young when I lost my true family. So young I could not remember how my mom looks like when she left us. I could not remember how I cried when my Ate died. I could not remember how my father had lost hope and left me all alone. I had so many questions why I was the one to experience such tragic thing in life. But then I realized that when one door closes for me another one opens."
Unti- unting nagbara ang lalamunan ko at isang takas na luha ang nakawala sa aking kaliwang mata.
"I want you all to know that a family should not be enclosed in a four cornered room. Reach out and seek for beautiful hearts. And soon you'll see how important a family is."
