Judith laughed and I couldn't help but chuckle with her. I heard something and I quickly looked at the doorway. Daryl leaned against it and I smiled at him. He smiled at us while he walked towards the table.

"Ketchup face." Michonne pointed out and Judith laughed again. Scarlet sat next to me and I handed her another string bean. Daryl sat down next to me and I looked at R.J who had a napkin over his face.

"It's very good. It's very good. Here." Michonne said and it all went silent. There was a ringing and I looked around at all of them as they were still smiling and laughing. But I looked back at my brother who looked genuinely happy.

I felt something hit me and I looked down at Scarlet. 'More' she signed and I nodded my head. I gave her another string bean and glanced at the empty chair by Scarlet. Carol hadn't talked to us much since getting back, I think she knew we didn't believe her.

Daryl ran her up a tray but by the looks of it when he came down I knew she didn't open the door.

I looked back at Scarlet and gave her a spoonful of mashed potatoes. I thought about how willing Anthony was to let her come with me. I'd wanted to keep an eye on Siddiq and spend time with my daughter so we'd agreed she could come with me and he could come see her when he wants.

I don't know what's going on with me and Anthony. We get along. But it doesn't feel like we're really married. It doesn't make sense. It's like we're friends with a ring on it. Something died between us a long time ago. Now I just needed to be with my family and try to find that piece of myself again.

I finished wrapping my hand and looked behind me. Scarlet was curled up in the blankets on the other side of the bed. I smiled to myself and thought about how almost two years ago she came out of me. It's a weird concept.

There was a small knock on the door and then it opened. Daryl walked through and I waved him in. He sat down on Scarlet's side of the bed and held her small hand that was on the outside of the blanket.

"How are you and Anthony?" He asked me. It took me aback but I knew it was coming.

I shrugged my shoulders and pulled myself into the blanket, laying down and putting my arm around Scarlet.

"I don't know." I finally told Daryl and he looked at me.

"You know you can talk to me, even if it's about boy drama." Daryl said in a weird voice and I couldn't help but laugh at how weird it was.

"I'll keep that in mind." I told him and he looked at me.

"Good." He said in a fake serious. I nodded my head and he stood up. Daryl walked to my side of the bed and tucked us both in.

"Jee, thanks, Dad." I told him and I could tell that Daryl took that serious. He knew he filled that spot, along with so many other spots in my life.

"Love you." He whispered to me and I nodded my head.

"We love you, too." I told him. Speaking for me and Scarlet. Daryl tapped the edge of the bed and walked out of the room.

I snuggled my head by Scarlet and closed my eyes.

"Jess! Jess!" I heard Ezekiel's voice and I jolted up in the bed. My walkie was going off and I quickly grabbed it from the nightstand as Ezekiel kept going.

"I'm here. I'm here!" I told him. There was a pause.

"A tree just fell through Hilltop's wall."

"Glad to see you up and at em." I told Aaron while walking into his kitchen. Gracie was running around upstairs and he looked at me.

"Coffee?" He asked and I nodded my head while sitting at the island.
