Rick knelt down next to the fire again and we all did what we were supposed to.

"How hungry are you on a scale of one to 10?" Rick asked us. First he looked at Carl.

"15." Carl said and then Rick looked at me. I just shrugged my shoulders and he patted me on the knee. It was a reoccurring problem that wasn't going away anytime soon. Then Rick looked at Michonne.

"28." She told him and I chuckled along with Rick.

"Yeah. Well, it's been a while. I'm gonna go check the snares." Rick said and Carl blew out the fire on his stick.

"Can I go with you?" Carl asked.

"Well, how else are you gonna learn?" Rick asked and kicked the fire out.

"Hey, you, too." I looked and he was talking to Michonne.

"Jess, you and your brother are the ones that taught me. I don't need to teach you." He told me and I gave a small chuckle.

"That would be true." I said.

"But you can hunt around us." Rick said and I nodded my head. Didn't really feel like being here while they were all out there.

The others grabbed what they needed. I just grabbed my bow with the quiver.

We walked under the wire and I walked by myself.

"We'll stay another day or two. Get some more rest." Rick said. I was walking behind them while they all walked in a line.

"Finish healing up?" Michonne asked.

"I'm almost there. Jess, you?" Rick asked and they were all looking back at me. I nodded my head and looked down at my leg. The limp was barely there and it only hurt when I sat down for a long time.

"We're close now, right?" Carl asked Rick and we all kept walking.

"To Terminus?" Rick asked for clarification.

"Yeah." Carl told him.

"We are." Rick said and we were starting to go down a hill. These people are great to hunt with that's for sure.

"When we get there, are we gonna tell them?" Carl asked and we all looked at him confused.

"Tell them what?" Michonne asked.

"Everything that's happened to us. All the stuff we've done. Are we gonna tell them the truth?" Carl asked and I shook my head. There was no way I was going to.

"We're gonna tell them who we are." Rick said and I wasn't sure how much of that we could cover up.

"But how do you say that? I mean...who are we?" Carl asked and Rick was thinking about it.

"Survivors." I said.

We all stopped when we heard snarling coming from where we wanted to go. It came right at us and I pulled my bow up. They all had there weapons but I saw the open opportunity between Carl and Michonne's heads.

I shot the arrow and they looked at me when they heard it go by there ear. They looked at me and I smiled at them as I walked by. I pulled the arrow out of the head and put it back in the quiver.

"It's like being out with Daryl." I heard Michonne whisper.

"I heard that." I said before turning around. I don't know what they did behind my back when I said that but I kept looking forward.

At first I had hoped, I had convinced myself I would find my brother. But that fire was starting to burn out as the days went by.

I kept telling myself that if he wasn't at Terminus, then I was never going to find him. Terminus would be the only option, the only explanation. If he wasn't there, there was no way our paths would ever cross again.
