"Your people back in the chemical plant..." Rick said and the two of them walked towards the man with guns up. I proffered to just stand there.
"...did you win?" Rick asked and my heart started skipping faster than it should have. The man rolled over towards them and you could tell he got thrown into the road. It could have been worse.
"No one did." He told us and I stepped next to the boys.
"The hell's that supposed to mean?" Daryl asked and the man was coughing. Daryl put his hand on his arm and put the gun right to his head.
"The hell's that supposed to mean?" Daryl asked again and the man was weakly coughing.
"Everyone's dead." He told us and I walked away from them. I put my head in my hands and tried to take deep breaths.
"Bull shit." Daryl finally said and I sat down in the middle of the road.
"There's no one else? You're the only one?" Rick asked.
"Me. The King. The Axe Man. The black boy. And a short haired psycho lady. You did this." The man said and I stood up.
If they were still alive they needed us. I started walking back the way we came while they were talking to him.
I opened the back to the bike and started pulling my bike out. I groaned as I almost had it out. It was starting to fall and I backed away from it as it hit the ground.
"Shit!" I said. I pulled off the protector that Jerry had given me and threw it on the ground. I threw off the jacket and pulled up the shirt. I stopped it where the bullet had hit the guard.
I looked up and Daryl was looking at the same thing. It was all bruised just below my sternum and my sides were all bruised from the jump. I pulled my shirt back down.
I looked at the shirt and made sure there was no hole in it. I grabbed the jacket and the guard and put them back on.
The bike was laying on the ground and I started pulling it up.
"Let me help." Daryl whispered and put his hand on my shoulder but I moved my arm away. I pulled the bike up and started pushing it back to the road.
"I'm going to The Kingdom." I told them.
"You can't go by yourself." Daryl told me.
"The hell I can't. If they're still alive I'll go there. If there at the Kingdom great, if they're not I'll backtrack.
Stay here, get the guns, we need them. Come to the Kingdom or not, I don't care. Go home for all I care." I told him and put my leg on the bike."Stop." Daryl said and I grabbed the keys out of my pocket.
"Stop." He said and took the keys out of my hand. I looked up at him and he looked down at me.
"Give them back and leave me alone." I told him.
"Talk to me first." Daryl demanded.
"We don't have the time." I told him and reached for the keys.
"You won't let me touch you and you just told me to leave you alone. You expect me to just give the keys back?" Daryl asked and I shook my head.
"Uh, yeah." I said like it was obvious. Daryl knelt down in front of me and put his hand on my knees.
"What's going on? I get what you did today with Morales and all, kinda, but what's this?" Daryl asked.
"Can I just have the keys? Please?" I begged him and I wouldn't be able to beg him much more. My stress and pain level couldn't go any higher.
"Okay. Just wait a minute. Let us get the guns. Carol, Ezekiel, Jerry, Anthony, they're the strongest that can be together. But we need you here." Daryl told me and I shook my head.
"Whatever." I said and he walked away with my keys.
Daryl was down by the truck and I stayed on the bike. I could figure out a way to make it move and I wanted to but it wasn't worth it. My luck would go bad, yes, because I have all the luck in the world.
Rick was soon after him and I just sat there waiting for them to come back up or call me down because they need help.
I heard something going on that wasn't supposed to be going on. I jumped off the bike and ran to the railing.
"You've gotta be shitting me." I said and ran to the area where the railing was gone. I slowly slid down the hill and Daryl had Rick in a choke hold.
"Fire!" I screamed and the truck was starting on fire.
"You guys! Move!" I screamed and ran towards them.
"Get up!" Daryl yelled and pulled Rick up.
"It's gonna blow!" I screamed and we started running. The explosion went and we went flying forward.
I looked back as the truck was on fire. With the guns, the guns we almost died for and the guns we needed.
I grabbed my keys off the ground and looked at the two of them.
"I can not believe you two!" I told them and started walking up the hill. There were more explosions and I went up the hill away from the truck.
I looked back and the two of them were just sitting up watching everything we needed go up in smoke.
Rick was trying to turn the Jeep on and it wasn't working. I looked and Daryl was approaching.
Daryl stopped next to Rick as he was getting out of the car.
"Before you ask me, no." I told him and went forward so I didn't have to listen to there bitching.
Daryl drove past me and I looked back to see Rick walking the other direction. I followed after Daryl and Rick still had to do what he had to do.
