I was holding down the legs while Sasha and Glenn were holding down the upper body. Hershel was trying to intubate but it wasn't going very well. Sasha and Glenn tried there best but they were still weak. Sasha was trying to hold the flashlight still enough for Hershel.
"Henry, I need you to calm down. We're trying to help." Hershel told him and stuck the thing to hold his mouth open in first. Then he forced the tube down his throat.
"No...!" Glenn whispered and I wasn't sure why.
The tube was in and Hershel connected the bag to the end of it. Hershel started to pump the air bag and we all say there watching.
Henry finally calmed down and I made sure that my bandanna was still on my face as Glenn and Sasha both started to cough.
"Drink some of that. Both of you." Hershel told them and I jumped up to pour the glasses for them both. I poured two cups and handed one to each of them.
"Some council meeting, huh?"Hershel asked and Sasha nodded her head.
"We're two members short." Sasha pointed out. The meeting wasn't complete without everybody in attendance. Except one of them may not be returning at all.
"I think we should make some new rules before they get back. I hereby declare we have spaghetti Tuesdays every Wednesday." Hershel said and I think he was just trying to lighten the mood at this point.
"First we have to find some spaghetti." Hershel pointed out and we all looked around at each other. Me and Hershel looked bad because we were chasing everything around in this place. Sasha and Glenn were getting beat by this sickness and we could only do so much about it.
"You okay to take over?" Hershel asked Sasha and she nodded her head before taking Hershel's place.
"Every five to six seconds, squeeze. You start feeling lightheaded, grab somebody else to take over. We'll take it in shifts. You two want to help me go on my rounds?" Hershel asked.
"Yeah." Glenn told him but I looked back at Sasha.
"I'll stay here with Sasha, just in case she needs it. But call my name if you need any help of any kind. It doesn't matter." I told them and made sure they both understood.
Glenn and Hershel both stood up but they stopped in the doorway to look back at Henry on the ground.
"How long will that keep him alive?" Glenn asked.
"Just as long as we're willing to do it. As long as it takes." Hershel told him and they both hesitantly walked away.
I leaned my back against the wall and tilted my head back. I had no sleep, barely any food, no water coming into my body. Who knows how long it would take for me to pass out. This was the first time I had been off my feet in awhile.
"You look more sleep deprived than me." I tilted my head back and Sasha was looking at me with a smirk.
"I've been too busy chasing around the sickness." I told her and she looked back down at Henry.
"That's the first time I've seen you sit down in hours." She told me and I shrugged my shoulders.
"I do what I gotta do." I told her. Sasha looked back up at me.
"Have you eaten? I've seen you giving water to everybody but yourself." She pointed out and it was true.
"I don't need it." I told her.
"You can sleep, right now. I'd wake you up if I need you." Sasha told me and I shook my head.
"Don't worry about me so much, you should be worrying about yourself as much as your worried about me." I told her and she looked at me as if I was kidding.
