I woke up and I knew it was early, too early for me to even want to be awake. It was the noise downstairs that grabbed my attention.

I went to jump off the bed but as soon as I turned I groaned in pain. It took a minute but I was finally able to lower myself off the bed onto my feet.

It hurt more than it had the day before. I clutched my stomach and limped down the stairs. Rick, Carl, and Michonne were packing up by the tables and I walked over to them.

"Where are you guys going?" I asked and it wasn't a very strong voice. They all turned to me and I think there eyes got a little wider.

"We're going on a run." Rick told me and I tilted my head.

"Why?" I asked and Rick looked back at the two of them. He put a hand on my shoulder and we walked a few feet in the opposite direction.

"We're going back home to try and find anything. Carl's ready and I don't want Michonne here when I'm gone." Rick said and I looked at him.

I wanted more than anything to go home. To see it again, especially if it might be the last time. I didn't even know they were considering going home. Maybe they'll find Morgan and Duane, we never saw them in Atlanta, not that me and Rick were there for a long time. But maybe they stayed in that house, where they were safe. Maybe Rick would bring them back to me. I think about them all the time. Maybe he'll find people we know. I wanted to go with him and look. But I knew I had no right to leave this building, it wouldn't help them and it wouldn't help me. There was no point in even trying to fight it.

"I can handle Michonne, if that's what your so worried about." I told him and he looked back at her before looking at me again.

"Yeah, I'm also gonna need you to explain why your protecting her, when I get back." Rick told me and I sighed.

"Well, do you guys need any help with packing?" I asked and Rick shook his head.

"I would need you here anyways. Leave it to your brother today, let yourself heal. Let your brother deal with Merle and the rest of the group. You go lay down." Rick put a hand on my shoulder and then walked back to the other two.

I watched them walk out the door with everything they needed. I gave it a second and then I walked over to on of the tables and put my head down. I must have needed that rest more than I thought I would.

I felt a hand on my chest and I jolted up. The pain took over and I collapsed towards the ground. I was caught by the neck and I opened my eyes.

Daryl was looking down at me and he looked worried.

"Is she dead?" I heard Merle ask and Daryl looked at him with snake eyes. Daryl pulled me back up by the neck so I was sitting back on the seat.

It took a few seconds to catch my breath again. Merle was standing somewhere near us and Daryl stood behind me holding me up.

"Okay, let's get you back to bed." Daryl said and he went to pick me up and I wiggled.

"Not until they come back." I said and Daryl dropped his hand.

"Well, you've already been here long enough. What's a few more hours gonna hurt." Daryl said. I looked at him and he sat down next to me sideways. Daryl was sitting so he was facing me and I was confused as to why.

"I love you. You know that?" Daryl asked and I looked at him.

"Yeah, that's exactly what I saw on the road." I told him and he glared at Merle.

"I made the wrong choice, I did. I'll say it a hundred times over. I don't know what I was thinking, just because he's my brother--it was still the wrong choice. I said it was to protect you when in reality you almost got your life taken and I was the bitch who wasn't here to help. I don't know how to make it right, but I just want my sister back." Daryl said and I looked down.
